God bless you my brother, it baffles me the kind of faith we profess to possess in this region where money and makeshift jobs have become our God. Even if you dont go to Church, Sunday is a HALLOWED TO GOD, so working on sundays is a flagrant disobedience to the word of God......WHOEVER IS INDULGING IN SUCH FOOLISHNESS IS THE BIGGEST SLAVE. I refuse to quote the bible on this matter because it is a no-brainer.

The same set of people that say they would quit such work are looking for any work in the oil companies which sometimes require one to work offshore. I wonder if they think such jobs would present the opportunity to congregate on Sabbath.

There are so many professions which require one to be at his/her duty post even on Sabbath, I guess most of the contributors are not of such vocation.

I would and do work on Sabbath as it is necessary for my line of work. Yet, it should not prevent me from worshiping God in truth and in deed which is what matters most.

Well it depends, if it is once in a while there's no need 4 resignation, if u are a geniue christian. After all christianity is fellowshiping with God not only fellowshiping in the church. But if ur job is taking u away from God is better to lose it than to lose ur life! Shalom!!!

I work where it is mandatory to work sometimes for six straight weeks weekends inclusive
if i didn't know God i would have started having doubts about his word
but in a country where there are many unemployed graduates one has to be as wise as a serpent

Sorry that is not tru, that is why nigeria is backwarded.

To life a christian life is not that you have to run in the church on sunday, because going to church every sunday didnot make you a good christian.
When I cannot go in the church on sunday i can go on saturday evening and when this is not possible than i will pray at home, because running to church say nothing if you a real christian.

To all who refer to Serving God as being religious, you have to find Jesus and truly know who Jesus Is. The most people who has valid excuse on while they can't attend Wednesday Services, Sunday Services are the most people who has challenges that they never get out of for years. And to the others who said people go to Church to ping, chat and do other stuff, know this.. You're not qualified to judge any Christian, serving God rightly is a personal choice. The Bible says we are the Righteousness of Christ, we don't struggle to be Righteous, we already are. All we do need is Right Living.
