Hello Poetry aficionados,

Here's a little something I put together. Let me know what you think about it. So here goes:


Thoughts of Love
Self-probing and soul-searching,
I traverse a once familiar plain;
Passions decreasing, reason increasing,
The truth I desire may just be the
Very thing I have to lose;
Words of affection, and others that work, so soothing,
Are now but things past;
My eyes gaze on reality. ‘Twas all a dream alas.
My heart hangs on wear’s end,
My emotions drained of all its strength;
Enervated, my heart goes a-numb,
Encumbered with the thoughts of love.
