O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him.

Even God tastes good...

Twinnie, see am ooo. You can do this for fish as well. You will have to cover the fish in foil to prevent dryness, as it doesn't have the fatty skin chicken has.

AlwaysTrue, it's obvious that you're busy. I think that's your shortest post on NL. Lol

Has anyone tried to drink milk with honey? cheesy grin Yummilicious.
Even the word of God could not but emphasize this combination in the verses below amongst others.

Jeremiah 32:22
And hast given them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;

Proverbs 24:13-14
13 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:
14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be. unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

I Peter 2:2-3
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

Milk is nourishment used for the growth and development of children and adults alike and honey is a sweet reminding us that life still has treats.
Even if you need to make a change of eating meat and bones in God's word which may be rough for you to swallow, the milk of the word (encouragement) is still there to be taken when you feel down and depressed for God is our Elshaddai, the many breasted one.
The honey treat (blessings) of the word is also to tell us we are so loved and God gives us abundantly above what we expect or imagine. Just as we will soon be giving our babies treats, the same way our Father in heaven has many treats for us in His word.
See the promises of God to us His people are so wonderful.

Why not take up a glass of milk mixed with honey and start enjoying the promises of our God while looking on in faith . kiss

Re: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Alwaystrue(f): 6:20pm On Nov 13, 2013
cheesy @Twinnie, how ma? E mean say you no buy the honey and milk @Dreams put for shopping list....oya oya run go supermarket now go find am.

@Dreams, I am here o. This time busy small.

Judges 14:14
And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.

This was the riddle posed by Samson to some young men in the bible and though the young men deceitfully got the answer, I still thought about it.
A lion carcass became a hive for bees to the extent that Samson could even get honey to eat from it. Does this not sound so strange? That 'lion' that may scare you today can become your honeypot tomorrow. That place that people have said nothing good will come out of it may turn out to be a source of sweetness.
Isaiah 45:3 says I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hoards in secret places...

Re: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Dreamsinbc(f): 4:20pm On Nov 14, 2013
Just wanted to point something out. You can take lemon and acv. It's all in the dosage. If you're taking both, pls stick with 1/2 lemon and 1 tablespoon of acv daily. Each does other things too, eg, lemon is a diuretic and a very good source of vitamin c.

Flakeey, Omalichachim, AtandaatiAdisa, and all our silent members, I hope you guys are fine?.
Re: Recipes For The Fruitful Home by Alwaystrue(f): 8:19pm On Nov 14, 2013
Isaiah 1:19
If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;

Eating good is tied to obedience to God's voice. For a rigteous man always ensures His steps are ordered by the Lord and the Lord orders us in everything even including what we put in our bellies. This challenge has been a great opportunity for @Dreams to showcase different everyday meals in classic, unique, creative, tasty and well presented fashions. Those obedient to these seeming informal rules are enjoying wonderful meals.

By the way, some banana bread muffins are busy warming themselves in my oven made per the direction of @Dreams this time cheesy grin and it looks impressive wink. I made the yummy coconut, almond, honey milk shake and decided to use the remainder for my normal oats for breakfast. Kudos @Dreams. This don become enterprise o.

AlwaysTrue, your combo na die. For the fact that you take out time everyday to share the Word with us, I pray that God grants your heart's desire. I know He'll grant it in His time, but I pray His time is now.

@Dreamsinbc,
A MIGHTY AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ecclesiastes
9:7 Go your way, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a cheerful heart [if you are righteous, wise, and in the hands of God], for God has already accepted your works

5:12 The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, whether he eats little or much, but the fullness of the rich will not let him sleep

When our ways please the Lord, He will make even our 'enemies' to be at peace with us or how else will you be able to enjoy in peace when the Lord prepares a table before you in the presence of your enemies.
The beauty about serving and walking with God is that because God has accepted our works, even our eating and drinking will be with joy and cheer. The bible further says the sleep of a working man is sweet due to contentment whether or not he eats but when the rich people have acquired so much, they sleep with one eye open because of worrying about their possessions.
A rich man in God's sight are those who are rich towards Him and those who have stored their treasure in heaven.

A rich man is he who needs less thus gives more, not he who needs to acquire so much and much more.
