yahrant140: We muslims must let the world entirely knows that 'islam is the only religion of peace'

If only you people could stand up and denounce the terrorist within your mist. As long as the majority of you are indifferent about their actions, you can't sell anyone that "...religion peace" talk.

@bolded:

No everyone who calls 'Lord' are His...

Everyone gets the same treatment when they are perceived to be different/unique.

A girl who doesn't make up/wear trousers is 'mocked' amongst those who do; A man who decides to be a virgin till marriage is seen as gay/learner/impotent (NL is a perfect reference); A student who is studious is termed 'ITK', 'Efiko'; A person who cannot be compromised is 'wicked', 'strict' etc.

It is not a muslim exclusive treat.

Everyone should learn to stand up for what they believe in AND ensure they DO NOT expect everyone to conform to their views.

You don't drink alcohol or wear an indecent dress, don't go to a club and start whinning. Stay in your lane. You can't do what others are doing? Give your advice and move on.

Everyone should embrace the concept of 'Live and let's live'

Your head is there. That's just it. You guys shouldn't direct it to ur religion. Its normal. Tanx Dude #bless

I wonder oooo, everywhere people that look different are discriminated it's not an islam thing, you guys should tell me if a lady that wears bikini to watch a football match in saudi arabia like those brazilian babes will get a kind look....

bukatyne:

Some organizations will not employ people who not fit into a certain lifestyle...

It is NOT a Muslim thing.

Muslims are NOT the victims of discrimination, unique people are

Personally I care nothing for whoever practices what, as long as you do the job you are being paid for and do it well. you can have feed your personal religious preferences as long as it does not negatively affect your job or the performance of others.

People generally have no problem with your religion unless it affects their personal freedom to live or have an opinion which might be critical of your socio-religious orientation.

One more thing, your individual opinions, challenges and actions are easily drowned by the crowd who think differently from you.

I am happy about dis and I think no one shld be discriminated against on any basis be it religion, colour , sex, disability or anything at all.
But as much as muslims clamour for consideration, recognition and equitable treatment everywhere dey find demselves, I really do hope dey understand dey av to be tolerant and not discriminate against other religion particularly in muslim dominated countries n regions.
When will christians n indeed other religions be able to practice der faith freely in saudi?...when wl dey make efforts to tolerate others even in der sharia ruled states.
I knw discrimination is not only peculiar to muslims but first we need to be clear that dos advocating freedom of religion first allow others practice der own religion freely.

PS; this is a very neutral statement airing my view , I do not think its derogatory to anyone, if I get banned den u av just confirmed d intolerance I av noticed on most muslim threads. Let ppl air der view within safe limits.

You guys are busy publicizing your religion. An actress converted to Muslim, now another covert is giving account of Islam. For real, these people were never Christians. May be Christians without focus. Every thing about Bible is fast coming to reality. Will there be faith if Jesus comes back? Teach your child the right way...

Is it a must for u to play ball in England d same west u always accuse? Y not go to parkistan, AfgAnistan, Turkey and play ur ball? U ppl always play d victim card wia u r minority yet u oppress and supress people of other faith wia u r majority.

I don't know wot u want us to do, we all watch match on sunday wich is a rest day d players are nt complaining. Just like u ppl can't work in banks bc of interest, if football in west affect ur faith, quit and do something else after all its d west dat invented football.

Say NO to whinning!

dis is no issue. religious discrimination is everywhere and i hav bn a victim too.
i was working wit one company belonging to egyptians. my then boss called me one day to verify wen he heard i am a christian.
i told him its true. he confessed dat he employed me because of my islamic surname. Right now, he feels like firing me. i told him to go ahead, i wasn't perturbed. I was sacked, only to be called back after 2 months wen d work was suffering. dis time, i told him to his face, "u can eat ur job".
but sincerely, i can't do dat to anyone. its a free world.
as for d player, he cud be stoped frm playing for health implication, especially during fasting periods. dat can't be termed as descrimination on religious ground.

Re: Nathan Ellington: People In Football Are Unaware Of What Muslims Need To Do... by guonno: 7:37pm On Oct 18, 2013
ummsulaym: Hmmmm! Even in other fields, we have alot of muslims complaining of similar problem... I really don't know how being a practicing muslim affects productivity and/or efficiency at work if not positively... If they do not complain about this, they will complain about that...
Imagine my lecturer asking If i want my future career jeorpadized *simply because of a veil*. I told him everyone dresses to work and this is my own dress code though a different style. He smiled and told me that 2 or less out of hundred organizations will hire me dressed like that.
Can you imagine that! It's not as if he wished me bad but that shows how much he knows of 'Western criticism and hyprocrisy'...
Our life and death are for Allah... May HE see everyone through and do the best for us and for dear brother Nathan Ellington in all endeavours.
***Wa'aleikumus-salam @OP*****

Ur life and death is for alah indeed but in hell fire. Tell me why people will not discriminate? I do discriminate against muslims. I once lost my chance to take first bus from anambra to owerri just bc a woman in hijab was buding the same bus with me, I did it because I don't want to be blown into pieces. Have u not heard of a whole family being blown up? are u a learner? In fact ibu onye ala! I will comfortably dine with a stranger budhist, hinduist, etheist, even babalawo, but use a long spoon to dine with a muslim never. Blood sucking demons, mohammad awaits all of u in hell.

Have you ever asked yourself why all the prophets *Jesus included* keep beard? I can see a critic manager in the making. I don't want to derail this thread longer than it's been derailed but learn to speak good or keep mute... Just an advice!
