Been waiting for a post of a real encounter with the Men/Women In Black but so far nothing ....no offence @jbluv.

This happened to me a couple of months into my fresh year @my uni.
Just another average day had ended on campus and at an ungodly hour, I woke up startled to see one of the broses in the room jumping from his bunk and shouting "in Jesus name!" and the target of this was....a black bird. Soon as those words were uttered, it dissapeared and the bros just climbed his bed and went back to sleep like nothing just happened .
While the dude was soundly asleep, I learnt the true meaning of the phrase 'breaking out in cold sweat'...got my mattress soaked and couldn't sleep a wink for the rest of the night . (I found out I had the hidden talent to pray silently for hours straight that night sha)





*I know this sounds like a scene outta nollywood and if it didn't happen to me personally I'd waive it off as such, but it happened right before my very eyes and I got mad respect for deeper lifers ever since that day.

@story: I don't doubt ur story.......even without magic/witchery a bird(and other animals) can be trained to locate specific people/places and carry out specific assignments. The disappearing part is where the supernatural comes in.

@bolded 2 a dog bite has been known to be able to kill humans if the dog was infected with rabies(read below). Rabies, also referred to as madness, is a viral disease which results in Encephalitis(acute inflammation of the brain) in animals but could lead to death in humans.

The disease is zoonotic, meaning it can be transmitted to humans from another species (such as dogs), commonly by a bite from an infected animal. For a human, rabies is almost invariably fatal if postexposure prophylaxis is not administered prior to the onset of severe symptoms. The rabies virus infects the central nervous system, ultimately causing disease in the brain and death.
The rabies virus travels to the brain by following
the peripheral nerves. The incubation period of

Infact, one day (coupla years back), this man was jejely mowing the lawn at my friends school when all of a sudden, one bird appeared out of the blue and started chasing him. I shiit you not. I don't know what the man did but that bird was on a mission. Hmm for a good 30 minutes, na so d man just dey run round field oh with the bird trailing right behind him and making some kin funny noises, then all of a sudden, it was gone.. Omo nah so I freeze in shock. I didn't even know if I should pick race or something because it was just very unusual.

The immediate elder brother got admission into FUTY in Yola and was in 200L. He started dating a chic who unknowingly to him was also bin eyed by a cultist within the school. He got a number of threats both as text msgs and also physically and he stopped visiting her and asked her to also stop visiting him. The girl probably felt abused from based on a text she sent him and she may have reported him to the cultist BF(whom she had now yielded to). As fate (or the unseen forces) would have it, the guy was attacked and macheted. He was taken to the hospital and placed on drips and treatment for 4 days before he gave up the ghost leaving my friend Sunday as the only child.

A cousin of his started staying with them after losing her own parents. My friend started learning how to cut men's hair while he was waiting for WASSCE result. He told me that all his thots at this point was not to proceed further with his education and he started becoming suspicious of everything n everyone around him. He was always very aware of his environment. He had started drinking and smoking to console himself and particularly to prevent himself from worrying as much as he did then.

His dad had bin working with NAMA(Nigerian Airspace Management Agency) and due to some conspiracy n the fact that he was not an indigene (I guess) he was relieved of his duties at the airport in Yola so he went into pools agency business where he earned the nickname 'lafia lau' meaning 'all is well'. From what my friend told me, his dad was always good to all n he would do what it took to make his friends satisfied&comfortable around him even if it required him spending his last dime. And by this time he was no longer on salary.

In April, 2006 his father had a mysterious accident but survived. He remained sick however n was under treatment till July, 2006 when my friend said they called him to come to the hospital, that his father was terribly ill. He said he already had a suspicion within him that he wasn't bin told the truth. Alas! On getting to the hospital, his father was dead as he had suspected. This got him so disturbed but life had to go on. He with his mum and some other wellwishers transported the corpse to Akwa Ibom where the remains were laid to rest.

While they were still in the village, another misfortune befell them. .............

Lmao. The man was a lawn mower in my friends school and was doing his usual rounds when the bird flew into the compound and started its mission. Walahi that thing was like filmtrick. If the guy tampered with its nest, then when, where and how did it even know where this lawn mower will be. And after chasing this poor man for 30 minutes, na so the bird just vanish oh . The burial n burial rites had been completed but they were mandated to remain in the village for the mourning and 40days remembrance. During their stay the mother fell ill in September (and @ this point I couldn't but agree that there was smtn unusual with the whole scenario) and died in October.
People started asking questions and requesting answers. She had not bin sick lately. She never had an accident.
Some said she was too bereaved while others said maybe her time was up(in her late 40s).
I am the type that always usually has a logical explanation for almost every incidence but this was beyond any reasonable explanation for me.

Anyway, my friend came back to Yola as he couldn't bear it staying any longer in the village. His cousin sister, however, stayed behind in the village as there wud be no fatherly or motherly figure for her to look up to in Yola.

My friend and his folks had bin staying in a rented apartment and the landlord pitied the guy for just a month after which he was asked to vacate the apartment. He sold some stuff that they had. He wrote to NAMA about his father's pension and it was approved n paid. He rented a single room to reside in, rented a shop for a barbing salon and decided to go on with his life.......

His life became quite stable in 2007 but he lived by the rules of the streets. With No family members to caution him or give him advice, drinking n smoking n clubbing n partying were the order of the day. And of coz with that came the numerous friends, chics n what have you.

In 2009 when they had gone for one of their crazy nite-out parties, another misfortune befell him.
He had made quite some doe n had acquired a motorbike which was the order of the day for any young chap in the Northern part of Nigeria (until BokoHaram struck). He and some of his friends were coming back from their party(probably drink thoh he claimed that he wasn't). He was the rider while he had a passenger. There had been no on-coming vehicle and no physical obstruction. But all of a sudden he saw(or he felt he saw) someone standing in the middle of the road and in a bid to avoid hitting the person, he swerved and the bike skidded. The passenger was flung into a side lawn while somehow the bike(which had been speeding) continued dragging him by the hand in the middle of the road tearing his flesh from the shoulder all the way to the back of his palm(left hand). He also had some bruises on his leg. His friend was without any bruises. He was under the influence of alcohol and couldn't feel the pain much until morning. He actually still drove the bike and rode himself to the hospital for treatment. He was treated and survived.

There were other ups and downs in his life which I'll just omit here.
I met him in 2011, and we became close friends. He was without family n I was also without family members in Yola(they were in the South).
He was a Chelsea fan and so was I. We both along with some other friends would hang out in the evenings to gist n ............

I did ask him why all these calamities that seemed abnormal. He said his father had some properties in their village that seemed to have brought about some controversies when it was determined that they were willed to his dad and not to any of his other uncles and aunts. He so hated his uncles and aunts and said he wouldn't go back there in a long while.

2012 came n Yola became a wartorn zone. Armed robbery everywhere, biking banned, businesses collapsing, Southerners leaving the town. He got a link with a fella abt a job of supervising mast installations so he took the offer. He wud first undergo some form of training which wud require him traveling round different places in the Northern part of the country. He decided this would facilitate his leaving Yola. The supposed boss who linked him up kept him working(training he called it) without paying him appreciably. He kept giving my friend high hopes that he would also be made a supervisor and the pay was good but on the condition that he be patient and continue receiving the stipends he was bin paid.
Note that @ this point he had sold his barbing salon and the contents therein. He had bin hoping the supervision job would 'click'.
2013 came and still he hadn't gotten it. January, February. March, April passed by n yet nothing tangible. So he decided he wud quit the job.

The last supervision job he made before he decided to quit was on May day(May 1). It was a Wednesday & He had left early by 6am to Gombe for the supervision which he concluded successfully. He made it back that same day and on his way back he sent me a msg on FaceBook @ exactly 5:11PM as ffs:

It was a holiday n we decided to celebrate it. We called a couple of friends and hung out for a while. It was also the day Barcelona played against Bayern Munich and lost 0 - 3 making the aggregate 0 - 7(after having lost 0 - 4 in the first leg). We enjoyed ourselves and made it back home (we were also neighbors).
