zeelo2014: Why were the candidates mocking Obiano? Ifeanyi even took Obiano's papers.

/
Because they know that Obiano is like a little boy sent on an errand.

He is saying exactly what Obi told him to say.

Was surprised when i tuned to 90.5 fm at Jos only to hear the debate being aired live on PRTVC. Must say kudos to the organisers.

To me ngige sounded more convincing throughout the debate even though i dont like that man. Willie tried but i must say he goofed when he gave his closing remarks. The guy was speaking igbo mixed with english(engligbo) and thats annoying considering the fact that the whole world was listening. He should'nt have spoken igbo at all if he knows he is not fluent. I felt embarrassed seriously.

Wow, it is Ngige's victory. He beat the other candidates hands down. Ifeanyi Uba was street smart, Willie Obiano was nowhere to be found and Ezemo was not present at all.

It was a no contest.

NGIGE ALL THE WAY!

Obiano was mocked cos he came to the debate with an 'encyclopaedia of pieces of paper which he read or glanced occassionally from a practise which was against the rule of the debate which is for candidates to speak extempore

So Ifeanyi Uba cudnt stomach it,approached him playfully, took the papers and showed them to the camera and gave some to his co-contestants to deride Obiano

Now take the correction
1, Nigerians voted in support of retaining the immunity clause.
2, Immunity granted to elected Executive ceases to be effective when they leave office.

3, Did Barrack Obama resign before seeking election for his second term in office? please lets not argue like children.

What is the purpose of a debate that does not sway voters? Most of the comments made so far were made from entrenched biased position. Anyway, the debate was good and humourous.

Ngige performed well and spoke as an experienced politician. Obiano also did well but he is not as fluent as Ngige. But I can smell sincerity in Obiano. For me, it is Obiano all the way. Very easy decision.

Meanwhile, if we continue with these debates and perhaps make it a culture in our electoral process, Nigeria will go places.

If Anambarians are serious minded people, then they should know their best hope in this election is NGIGE!!
His confidence and drive alone speak volumes.

Sorry. he doesn't need your vote; he was talking to Anambrarians that matters

cheiwura: Ngige claims he is the best candidate. Cos all the candidates except himself will do a 4 year apprenticeship. But he Ngige is experienced and have better administrative prowess.
am not a supporter of Ngige but he appears to be d most qualified. D odaz couldn't say any meaningful but rada engaged in destructive criticism of their counterparts. someone like Apgan candidate Obaino can't even speak English(couldn't express himself in English ). LP Ifeanyi Uba was busy talking abt national dialogue instead of telling anambarians what he has 4 dem

After watching the debate, I am seriously doubtful of the much touted world class experience of Obiano. Why? The man can't even speak without notes. Was shivering and stammering all through. He looked and acted so uncomfortable. Peter Obi should just leave that man alone. Governorship of Anambra state is beyond his league!

No matter what yardstick one use to judge this debate,Ngige was miles ahead! He was cool, calm and very articulate, constatntly drawing from his deep pocket of experience,he was so at home with what he wants to do as he understand almost all policy issues and what register to use for every situation. He gave satisfactory answer to all questions! He sure will hit the ground running from the 1st day if he wins.

Ifeanyi Ubah though a man of few words wow me! He comes across as a practical man who is adept at making money-a skill that is also required in making a state solvent he came 2nd clearly.

Lethargy is the word that xterised Willie Obiano outing in all the debates. Riding on incumbency factor,he didn't come across as someone who is likely to better even Peter Obi. He resorted mostly to sentiments and couldn't even evangelise Peter Obi's achievements very convincingly. I was ashamed he doesn't even know a thing about Immunity which he says he doesn't know the reason why those who put it there did so

Ezeemo was more like 'I came,I saw,I participated'! No vivacity,no drive, hideous with his answers and no 'in your face' kind of presence

People are easily swayed by paper qualifications. But life is different
"A" students are usually lecturers...people who cannot do resort to teaching.
"B" students are mainly employees
"C" students and drop-outs are the moneymakers.
".D" students are touts.
"F" students are criminals.

Who says life is fair? I don't trust the Obiano guy because of the way he was drafted by Gov. Obi

He chose to speak to the people that matters to him and I believe they highly appreciate that. More so, he chose to speak to the majority that will vote on the 16th and not to some brainless Nairaland idiota that can't doesn't even know the targeted audience

isn't it funny that the APGA goons have insulted two potential voters on this thread thereby at the risk of losing two valid votes already

Lest I forget; I thought you opened a thread that he was dropped from the final debate. What happened?
Secondly, don't worry about us. We know the true voters and not the basement dunces that full Nairaland.

Just learn to accept a mistake when you make one. And also learn to say accept the truth when it is obvious. Members of the audience booed at every point obiano spoke his 'engligbo' cos its embarrassing, and you know it. If he had spoken igbo the way he should have, i guess the people would'nt have booed him
