I didn't watch d debate but 4rm comments here It seems Ngige was better. However I wish 2 state dat vibrancy n charisma most tymz do nt translate 2 commiserate actions especially wen politicians r involved
The only difference is that Ngige is a more experienced politician was more composed during the debate. Obiano on the other hand was not as composed as Ngige. But in terms content of what they said, there was no difference. It is still the same I will give you roads, this and that. But you and I know that talk is cheap.

Ngige also said he will reduce school fees in the state tertiary institutions to N40,000. I thought that was a very dumb populist statement. Reduction in school fees of higher institutions is automatic reduction in quality. At a time when ASUU is on strike asking for N400 billion for the universities, a gubernatorial candidate is talking about reduction in school fees? Incredible.

Apart from that, they all said mostly the right things.

You come across clearly as unrefined, unlettered and lacking in finesse!

Resorting to use of uncouth language to attack people who don't share yr opinion shows you can't take criticism in good faith. Even the candidate you want to kill yrself over was seen throwing banters with both Ngige and Ubah

Marshall yr arguement even if you cloth it with a tinge of bias rather than cursing or riling at potential voters for you candidate

Ngige displayed maturity&experience.he was light years ahead of them.unfortunately d apga guy is not so intelligent pilots wise.he looks bitter.ifeanyi ubah too is not experienced but given his level of education he tried.unfortunately everybody capitalised on his pedigree&warmed anambrarians not to vote for a questionable character,a fuel subsidy thief & a semi illiterate.I pity ifeanyi there,he was a bit inferior when others were boasting of their qualifications.ifeanyi also said he is a sports man&he has a football pitch in his house where people can come&play football.that was pointless.he also attacked,Dora akunyili&Stella oduah saying they're not capable as ministers from anambra.very interestibg debate.thank God I recorded it.

We need to sustain this debate no doubt but I can bet that over 90% of those who will vote at the election proper did not see this debate.

40K as at 2003? And to think that he thought that to be cheap? Obiano might not be an orator, nor is he suave, but he looks like a stand up guy. Only that I think he could be the very vindictive type and a sore loser. These auditor guys can be very mean sha! I'd rather vote for him than the crooked Ngige or Ubah who is neck deep in debts right about now. I think Obiano needs the right set of handlers to effectively govern a chaotic state such as Anambra. At least he's got the pedigree and wealth of managerial experience but I'd still pick Soludo over him if the opportunity arose.

You are very right. Unfortunately little can be done to make people pick interest in things like political debate. But mind you that this particular debate is even this popular because anambra gubernotorial election timetable is different from other states. I could'nt believe it when i heard the debate being aired on the plateau state owned radio station. It kinda made me feel proud being an Anambrarian. Some of my friends asked questions and i felt happy replying them. But when Ngige refered to Awka as a 'glorified village', i felt realy ashamed. That ngige guy sounds too blunt for my liking. He seem like a desperado

Awka is a village, perhaps you didn't even watch the other debates where all candidates alluded that much, which other state capital can you compare to Awka?

Ngige is not bad either but I think Obiano will do a more whollistic and sustainable job. Also in terms of pedigree, Obiano towers over Ngige. Obiano is my candidate but I can still manage Ngige or even Ubah. Like you said, overall, Soludo would have been the best.
Re: Anambra Governorship Debate Live On AIT by Criticalobs: 8:51pm On Nov 01, 2013
Ngige doesn't belong to south east but south west, so let him wait to contest either in Osun state or Ekiti state rather than lying to Anambrians and pretending to be one of them.

Am nt suprise related to ur observations during the time of the debate concerning those who ar smart, intelligent, outspoken, composure etc and those who ar timidy, dull, gentle etc. U ar nt 2 blame, wat u saw is wat u said. And some judges have given their verdict bt i want 2 assure u dat ur judgement wil be inversed to favour of the failures.Debate was conducted and not yet the election. And according 2 my results on Nov.16 .APC-458067VOTES .LP-506521votes.PPA-449852VOTES..APGA-874901 VOTES.Dont doubt me for this.

Ngige really showed the stuff he's made of,likewise uba.All this lamentation by obiano abt his qualifications, world class bla bla bla, maybe he has been tested n trusted in their fidelity bank not in anambra politics undecided undecided. The sooner he realizes that anambra is a street state and needs street men like uba and ngige the better for him grin grin
Re: Anambra Governorship Debate Live On AIT by Jenkizo: 9:09pm On Nov 01, 2013
APGA got it all wrong by fielding Willie Obiano. The guy is far from the truth. He kept on using ethnicity and sentiment without actually saying nothing. APGA has lost it this time around. As for Ubah, the guy is more intelligent than I thought. He tackled Peter Obi's administration and APGA objectively. As for Ngige, the guy is the best. He has answer to all the question asked without delay. The guy is grounded. The people where just hailing Ngige and Ubah but were booing Obiano. But ignoramous in NL are busy spreading falsehood and projecting Obiano while his people at the Debate were booing him. What a contradition! Ngige is whom Anambra people need now. I doubt if Willie Obiano is actually an ED in a Bank before. The guy is too childish and bias.

To me, Dr.Chris Nqiqe really ace the debate followed by Ifeanyi Uba,though Ifeanyi Uba seems unlettered with the way he speaks and the Apga candidate was metaphorically saying that some of his opponents no qo school and they wanna come and contest..which was really an indirect freekick to Ifeanyi Uba....to cap it all up,i really really really enjoy the debate

the more silver tongued they are, the more criminal they are: i still shiver when i remember mbadinuju(sweet tongue), ngige and uba are nothing but tested criminals that caused anambra state governor's tenure system to differ from the rest of the state in nigeria. And all those supporting ngige in nairaland are just bystanders. Those that'll vote are in the interior villages and didn't watch the debate... That's the funniest thing.

Though I didn't watch the debate from the start. But from where I started, I saw the display of maturity and they are sort of comedians by nature especially Ngige. They all spoke well, but Ngige displayed great confidence, followed by Ubah and Ezewo the PPA guy. APGA. was the least. I would have wished the APGA guy never referred to OBI's achievements because there is nothing he has done. He was talking about continuity whereby he would rather be starting afresh because all dicks and Harry knows he didn't do anything. Ngige's name and achievements still speaks for him greatly and may give him an edge over others. They all tried and I am proud of them. But we need to move that state forward. We need a tough man for such a tough state. And I think Ngige is the best because he understood the politics of Anambra more than all of them due to his vast experience and records. The election will be well contested and votes well shared. I am seeing the beauty of democracy, the beauty of presidents GOODLUCK electoral reforms, the beauty of multi-party system and the beauty of education and civilization in action.
