We do not announce or broadcast it because they are not getting converted for publicity stunt or for money as the case is with this one but for there soul to be saved. Muslims like showing off their services to allah , they like to make a big show of things which they claim is for allah but its all hypocritical. If these guys are doing this for God or for righteousness its won't be broadcast because its truly for God buts its either a movie as Some times muslims are told to dress like christians and like the south south folks or east and show up for publicity. One think very typical of muslims is GIVING NEW CONVERTS MATERIAL THINGS, an hausa guy who graduated. From ABU Zaria but do not have a job decided to open up a shop to be selling Shenda, lace and other materials so he travelled from kaduna to kano to buy his goods for sale but ended up being robbed in kano of his money about #80 000 he said he had to go to a mosque and claim he is a christian from southern kaduna and like to convert to islam but his family hate the idea and threaten to disown him. Due to his tendencies towards islam and his love for allah he came here(one of the central mosque in kano he called it Jumah mosque) because he need to be converted and when ever he goes back he will like to settle in a muslim dominated areas and start up a business of his own because he won't be welcome by his family. This young man made more than #300 000, this is a true life story!!! Because I came across this formal course mate of my from ABU Zaria in central market kaduna where he gist me of how he made it in life and how far guys could go this days. We were student and very fond of each other back then in school so he sees no need to hide it

Now to the quesn of what one does wen converting....After detemining to do so, you are made to say the kalimah tashahud also caled kalimatu musharraf wic renders yu by mere saying sincerely, a muslim. one becums a muslim d moment he says it sincerely, meaning it and believing it..the words are : laa ilaha ila Allah Muhammad rosulu llahi salla Allahu alayhi wasalam abduhu warosuluhu
Then the person goes thru a ritual bath caled Al ghusl dukhulul islam. He then is fit to observe salat and oda ibaadats in islam

Secondly, the "ritual bathing" is symbolic just like the "Baptism". It signify "cleansing" from a stage of "imperfection" to the stage of "perfection" in the context of 'total submission to the will of God'. Just like christian says baptism from "sins" to "new life".
Then after the "cleansing", you can trace your path step by step not to indulge in sinning that makes one back to the polluted life of imperfection.
