berylLOL: Marry a maid then, since all you are looking for in a Woman is her ability to fill your Stomach.
It's difficult to see the sense in this.

I didnt say women shouldn't learn how to cook. She can be taught how to cook, but what if she isnt interested. what are you going to do about that? Just like we have as much white women cooking for their african spouses we also have those that arent interested and cant be bothered with kitchen matters.

What's wrong with a man being in the kitchen if he can cook?

how will the children eat if the wife isnt interested in cooking?

if you say maid, for how long? What if you cant always afford a maid despite your best planning?

nothing wrong with a man cooking but its not his primary responsibility to cook.

who cares what a white woman does??

so so unnecessary. You do realise that our daily struggles and those of white women are different?

my post was in response to lady gogo who mentioned white women.

the daily struggles may be different but all humans do need food, i think we all have that in common.

If truly u know how to cook why not teach ur girlfriend how to prepare ur meals d way u like it? If truly she loves u,she should be ready and willing to learn. She should even be worried that u are not satisfied with her cooking.

The world wont come to an end if the wife cant or doesnt cook. Besides, the couple can learn, teach each other or eat out.

Neither is it a woman's primary responsibility.

It is not the duty of a man to teach his wife the rudiments of cooking.

One of my uncles* (back then), sent his wife back to her mother's house to learn cooking for almost 2months.

Some of you ladies would rather sit with friends gossiping while mama is busy in the kitchen.

I didnt mention white women in any of my posts. you did and i replied you.

Because humans do need food, women should bear the sole responsibility of cooking? grin

If you need food, please cook your food. grin

On a serious case, we should learn to do things ourselves.
I remember asking an electrician in building construction to follow all path for the conduit wiring. Can you believe this guy climbed the ceiling, bypassed all the pipes but managed to slot the cables via the pipes buried in the wall. After the job, he demanded for his cash.

He was surprised when I climbed the ceiling to see the job he did, I tell you, cables everywhere, he push the conduit piping a away just to do a quick one. grin

God punish am because he did the job again..wasting more time and energy for same money.
He probably thought because I was female, I will just witness the electricity part, forgetting say only me na man-o-war.

Fr me, no body can hold me at ransom o, anything I can't do, I should be able to provide cash to get it done, but for basic things like cooking, changing bulbs, tires, anti-freeze, name it. I dey!

Solo, ha far. You don get the ekateh undecided

As long as you cannot stop/change child bearing, then cooking cannot change..

By the way, farming is still an active venture in Nigeria. Infact, Nigeria is about to export $800million worth of cassava to China smiley
Most farmers didn't stop, they only improved by adopting mechanical method of farming.. same way, you improve yourself with Blending machine, Gas cooker, fridge, etc

right, i just went back and checked.

i was referring to the women's lib which many nigerian women seem to be propounding, despite the fact that white women who pioneered it, are still cooking for their husbands and families.

if you're in africa/nigeria, or are african/nigerian, yes.

unless the man prefers to do the cooking.

of course there are men who own restaurants and the like, however the context here is not business.

In my house we make our own garri
Yea smiley
We clear farms, plants, weed apply fertilizer, harvest peel grind and fry cassav to make garri

Used to frown a lot when we were growing up and momma insisted on teaching us those things any farming season that we happen to be in the village. But now I'm happy I learned
Don't look at the exterior. This babe can FARM and lift things and even use wheel barrow to carry huge gallons of water for grandma anytime I go visiting.

Life can throw curveballs at any given time

It's good to be balanced and know how to adapt be it in Newyork or Umuokanne.

No one knows the future

@ OP,
The solution to your problem is very simply, since you work and don't have time to cook despite the fact that you can,
I hope you know there are people who provide catering services for the likes of you busy bachelors, you simply tell them what
kind of soup you want, what type of meat you want in it etc. They will cook like 2 different types of soups for you and stew as well.
I think they may be also willing to cook beans and jellof rice, moi moi and stuff like, they do that and you stock up your fridge, you come back from
work and just microwave and eat. Easy life, if you must eat properly prepared food and your girlfriends can't cook it, pay someone
else to do it for you. That way you don't need to have a live in maid. I am suggesting this hoping your main issue in this post is about you eating
well. As you stay in PH, I don't know how you can get any of these kinds of caterers sha, but I know if you ask around, you will find. It might
even just be someone who does it on a small scale in their homes.
But just ask around, someone will surely know someone who knows someone. smiley

Cheers

Thanks people for your advise.
I called my friend this morning to please help me get a maid prepare my food before i got home today.
Imagine my surprise to find the maid still in my house at 12.30pm when i got home today.
She said it wasn't proper for her to leave before meeting me,and i already asked her to stay the night since it was midnight already.
And the meal is quite decent.
May God save me from temptation.

Happy u r progressing in d right direction.

Pls when next u wanna dabble into a relationship, like some pple said, don't use cooking as a yardstick cos u may miss ur better half. Provided everything is there, happily teach her and I'm very certain she will wanna do the things u lv most bc of her lv for u.
If need be she should learn from the experts. I'm still yet to c a cook as bad as my cous but yet the then boyfriend still went ahead and married her then parkaged her to cateering school.

As per this ur new cook, hmm......., I reserve my comment this one ur though process is already spiralling. cheesy
All d best.
Re: I'm Fed Up!! by Nobody: 2:52am On Nov 29, 2013
U might still narrow it down by making her come once in a week to cook every every and then go.
To avoid temptation o!
Third leg no go school. cheesy.
