If one pastor quotes the bible that the bible says you must not revoke the meeting of believers, tell that pastor that you are all believers in your family... even on Nairaland we meet here as believers... praying with your family is also part of meeting as believers... so don't be fooled.

Going to heaven is not tied to your church attendance. Jesus was there to prove a point... to hear and teach the word of God... If they had internet in those days, I believe it should not be stressful for him.

Presently with The Apostolic Church (TAC) - Its like a family church service everytime I attend cos the pastors are always free to talk and they say the truth... the only thing I really dont like there is the way the offering goes... kai!

You can only get into heaven by believing in Jesus Christ, even doing good won't cut it. All the thief (the one crucified next to Jesus) had to do to get into heaven was to acknowledge that Jesus was the son of God (no need for sinners' prayer, even).

I believe that the most important thing is to believe in God and that he sent his son to die for the world, all other things are secondary.

My brother let me tell you the truth, firstly i'm sure you dont know the meaning of church to start with. Now what is church? Church means the called out one's, the spiritual body of christ, the bride of christ, the royal priesthood. And finally those that have been filled with the Holy spirit.thats the meaning of church. It is not an ordinary building. Now there is nobody that has HolyGhost who would like to stays at home on sunday when other christians are worshiping there God. This is the problem with most Christians, you don't want to find out what God has written instead you want to hear people's opinion.

Well here are your answers

The most important requirement is accepting Jesus as your personal lord and saviour and that he is the son of God and died for you.

Baptism

That's pretty much it, sin has no power over you and no matter the sin flesh pushes you into, you are a candidate for heaven.

As for going to church, apostle Paul said do not break communion with the brethren. It doesn't necessarily mean you must be in church and it is not a criteria for heaven or to be a saint. when you watch a Christian program on TV, you are communing with those brethren but the problem with the church these days is pastors have become so greedy and they make it sound like you must be in church so they can fleece you.

In this present day and age, the best way to practise Christianity is to read your bible and stop seeking the opinion of others because they mostly say things that favour them.

I really suggest you read the bible books of romans, Corinthians and the other letters of Paul. I pray God gives you understanding.

Not going to church will not stop you from making heaven but you will find the road much harder for you will be missing the support of brethren who have been there for you during your tests and trials.

In as much as you are saved by your faith, I would advise you to take advantage of what the rest of the body of Christ provides and not make your own road harder.

Jesus is Christ...THE CHRIST.Everyone who accepts His message and believes the purpose for which He came becomes of Christ.
The people who first believed were called Christians because the people who saw them saw they were Christlike.
Christianity is not a religion and Jesus didn't come to start another religion,He had something no prophet ever had...the gift of eternal life.

Now before I continue, let me make this submision that God is not someone anybody can FULLY explain. Our knowledge of him cannot be perfect until we see him. Having gone through the scriptures you quoted above, I can see you don't even know him at all. In the Godhead, which is also called Trinity, we have God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. This does not mean we have three different Gods. The analogy I can give, THOUGH NOT A PERFECT ONE, is that of the house. In a house, you have the building, the doors and the air(breeze) within it.
You can hardly separate these things and you refer to them all as the building or house. You see, in an ideal situation you cannot enter a house without going through the door ( let's forget about the Windows and see everything as an entrance, besides this is just and analogy, not necessarily perfect) especially if the doors are locked.
Having entered a house you cannot but breath in the air within. That is automatic! But when we talk about a house people don't normally think about all these but within their minds they see a whole/single structure. In the same vein, God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one entity but with different functions. While earthly house may have different doors, there's only one door/access to God the Father(Act 4:12)

I don't know where you read in the Christian Bible that salvation is not beleiving in the name of Jesus. Pls see:

Do you know that there is difference between Christmas and Xmas?

I see many Christians typing “Xmas” instead of Christmas, even on our page; many are ignorant of this and some are living outside of Christ.

Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Christ among Christians worldwide; as we celebrate Christmas, Christ is set as the priority and the center of the celebration, so it is more than secular or social celebration, but a Christian celebration with in-depth meaning in our relationship with God. That God love us so much that He sent His only begotten Son for us; that Jesus Christ was born for us, for our salvation, IMMANUEL! Christmas also signifies that the world is recognizing and calling Jesus the Christ, that the Messiah of the world; it is a witness to pass message to the world that Christ has been born and you are called to be born again in Christ.

But along the way, the devil was not happy as the word “Christmas” was circulating around the world everywhere even in the official, secular and social places, people calling Jesus Christ; and so people under the control of Satan moved to cancel Christ from Christmas, to remove Christ from the December 25th celebration, and you know when Christ is left from a celebration, when Christ is not glorified in whatever you are doing, it become idolatry.

So, in subtle and modern English, they cancelled Christ from Christmas and replaced it with Xmas. In English, X is another sign of cancelling, removing or wronging something. A symbol of approval may look like this √ or to mark something right but to cancel something, to disapprove something, you can use a symbol of X. This is the Xmas you have today, where Christ is removed and cancelled = Xmas. So where is the Christ in the Christmas we are celebrating today?

HISTORY
If you search the history of the word “Xmas” online, you will see different answers. They said that in Greek letters, X stands for “Chi” but since 'X' is not Chi in English, we read the word as X-mas and see no connection with Christ. In the United States, in 1977 New Hampshire Governor Meldrim Thomson sent out a press release saying that he wanted journalists to keep the 'Christ' in Christmas and not call it Xmas--which he called a 'pagan' spelling of Christmas. An American Evangelist and Missionary Franklin Graham told CNN journalist Roland Martin in an interview: "For us as Christians, this is one of the most holy of the holidays, the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ. CHRISTMAS
Christmas is celebrating the birth of Christ into the world, and more than that, it’s celebrating your birth in Christ, being born again, or how will you better celebrate Christmas without you being genuinely born again? That is useless! John 3:3

Christmas is remembering the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and renewing our commitment to His service – living for Him and sharing the Good news to all men - evangelism! John 3:35, 36

Christmas is remembering the sacrificial giving of God, and practise the giving. “For God so loved the world that He gave His begotten Son” John 3:16. Giving is part and parcel of Christmas, sharing with others, no matter how small. You celebrating Christmas without sharing is an empty Christmas.

XMAS
Xmas is a manipulated type of celebration by the unsaved, though claimed to be Christians. It is a pagan way of calling Christmas, they are scared to called “Christ” or they show they reject Jesus as the Christ of their lives, or they see writing “Christmas” as too long and lonesome.

Xmas is celebrating on December 25th without genuine salvation in Christ.

Xmas is celebrating Christmas in a way that will not glorify Christ.

Xmas is celebrating Christmas without Christ as the center.

WHICH ONE DO YOU CELEBRATE?
With the clear differences listed above, you can clarify which type you have been celebrating or you are celebrating today. The genuine celebration of Christ begins the day you are genuinely born again, and on the Christmas, you make Christ the center of your celebrating, you do everything that will glorify Christ, you use the period to share the Good news of the birth of Christ.
