2015: PDP Will Win, Presidency Tells Amaechi, Others by Princess2be(f): 5:43am On Dec 30, 2013
The Presidency on Sunday described
the claim by Governors Rotimi
Amaechi and Rabiu Kwankwaso that
the Peoples Democracy Party would
lose the presidential election in 2015
as wishful thinking.
The Special Adviser to the President
on Political Matters, Mr. Ahmed
Gulak, said this in an interview with
one of our correspondents.
Also, the PDP dismissed the
governors’ claim, saying it was not
known for rigging.
Gulak said contrary to the governors’
claim, the PDP would win
convincingly in the forthcoming
election and again form the Federal
Government.
He described the APC as a bed of
strange fellows, adding that the party
had started experiencing crisis in
some states.
He said, “That claim by the two
governors and others in the APC is a
wishful thinking.
“I can assure you that the PDP will
win the next general elections and
form the government at the federal
level.
“The PDP is the only organised
national party in the country. It is the
party to beat.
“The APC is a bed of strange fellows.
You know that they have started
experiencing crisis. Go to Sokoto
State, they have two offices already.
That is happening in some other
states too.”
The leadership of the Peoples
Democratic Party said it was
unfortunate that Amaechi and
Kwankwaso who it said benefitted
from the party were deriding the
party.
The party said it was weary of
replying the two governors.
It however added that the party was
not known to rigging elections.
Amaechi had in an interview with
journalists in Port Harcourt on Friday
said unless the PDP rigged the 2015
elections, it would not win.
His Kano State counterpart urged
Nigerians to work hard and vote the
PDP out in 2015.
National Publicity Secretary of the
party, Chief Olisa Metuh, who spoke
with our correspondents on the
telephone in Abuja on Sunday,
however, assured the two governors
that 2015 would show the popularity
of the party.
He said, “I find it difficult and painful
to react to this because these were
formidable members of our party that
had benefitted immensely from the
party.”

You are an hypocrite. APC is beating their chest everyday that they will win in 2015, Buhari said so earlier, you didnt come here to ask questions or comment on how they want to win, and why they talk so assuringly. But when PDP said the same, you are here foaming in the mouth,

There should be differences between the presidency and the PDP. Let the presidency leave party politics to the parties to fight it out. Jonathan fails to understand that he is presiding over the nation as a whole not the PDP. This is the same reason why he never sees anything good in the states ruled by the opposition parties. He even hardly pays a state visit to them nor commission pro masses project. Surely Jonathan is more pedestrian than even a ward counsellors.

On the international level, PDP must be one of the most corrupt political parties on Earth. They have rigged every election they have ever taken part in (this is not to excuse other parties!).

The Anambra election was heavily rigged a few weeks ago! Mtcheew! Does Jonathan take us for fools?

We Are Disappointed With Anambra Governorship Election — US

The United States Government has expressed disappointment with the conduct of the November 16 Anambra State governorship election which the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Willie Obiano won.

The disappointment was expressed when the US Assistant Secretary of State on African Affairs, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, spoke with some young Nigerians on the President Barack Obama Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) at the Rosa Parks corner of the US Embassy, Abuja on Thursday.

Thomas-Greenfield was responding to a question on how to assist Nigeria and other African countries holding major elections in 2015 make them free and fair. In her words: “That issue is on our agenda for Nigeria as you go for elections in 2015, to promote free and fair elections. We were disappointed with the results of the Anambra State governorship election and the problems that came out of that election. So we want to work with the electoral commission and work with your politicians to ensure that that’s not repeated. And we continue to build on successes and correct failures.”

We need not rant about who is going to win 2015 elections. Many factors come into play. Don't be deceived by any political party claiming to be a saint. All political parties in Nigeria rig elections, who rigs most carries the day. You guys shouting PDP or APC might even be disenfranchised while a bowl of eba will cast it's vote. That's Naijah elections for you.
