Best topic I have seen on NL. I am hypertitis B positive, got to know few months( October 2013) ago when me and my fiance went on medical test in preparation for our wedding. she is negative, we have not had any sexual contact b4 apart from kissing, Its true few people get infected through the vacine, the company i work for earlier sponsor d vacine for all its staff, unfortunately they did not test us for the virus b4 giving us the vacine.so I am not sure if its in my system b4 or get infected through the vacine.
I also informed 2 ladies that i have dated in the past, they both tested -ve. i am Not still sure how i got it.
Most Nigerian doctors do not even have adequate knowledge of it, i got to know this when i was running around for information or posibly treatment.

Dear all go for the vacine, and pls make sure you are tested first b4 taking the vacine. I have not been myself since then, she ( my girl) called off the relationship, I try not to be mad with her. i understand she is too scared to go ahead.
There is no known cure medicaly now, but i have the feelings that, there should be treatment (herb) for it somewhere.

There is definitely treatment for hepatitis b. The type of treatment will depend on of it is acute hepatitis or chronic hepatitis and also the levels in your body. Here is a link to the NHS website that will give you more information. Your doctor should've given you this information:

http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Hepatitis-B/Pages/Treatment.aspx

And as for your fiancé all she needed was a vaccination since she is negative and she is protected. Don't make excuses for her, be grateful because if it was something worse, now you know she won't stay.

I think if hepatitis b is detected on time it can be treated.

Dont be scared bro. Not all companies make u lose the job for HBV. Just go for the NBC medicals. It is well with you.
