23 Aug 2008 17:37 Africa/Lagos Dean Statement on Selection of Senator Joe Biden as America's Next Vice President from the Democratic National Committee DENVER, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean issued the following statement on the selection of Senator Joe Biden as Barack Obama's running mate: (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20080519/DNCLOGO ) "Senator Obama has made an outstanding selection in Joe Biden. Joe Biden is a strong leader, fierce advocate, and devoted family man with values rooted in the best of what America stands for. He will be a strong partner with Barack Obama in bringing the change America wants and needs. "Delegates here in Denver are already buzzing with strong enthusiasm for the Obama-Biden ticket. "Senator Obama's selection shows that unlike the Bush-McCain way of doing politics, Obama is not afraid to have strong people around him helping to lead our great country. "Together they will serve America well over the next eight years, and our Party is ready to rally behind them and put them on the path to the White House starting right here in Denver." I agree. I watched a MSNBC report on Joe and he seems like a perfect candidate. He takes the train everyday from Washington to his home and vice versa. His wife and daughter died Way back. He remarried and has 2 sons. I am going to keep on reading up on him. |

Kinda weird because the man stirs up lots of controversies "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," Biden said. "I mean, that's a storybook, man." "“In Delaware, the largest growth of population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.” but . . . |

It doesn't matter if Obama hires Rambo as his running mate. The inherent racists will never vote for him anyway. This 'lack of security experience' is just a ruse anyway. . . . . the average American knows nothing about foreign policy or cares little about foreign countries. . . . so this excuse is just rubbish as far as I am concerned. . . . . . no one has attacked American soil since the 1940's so I don't know why they are worried about sevurity issues. . . . even if Paris Hilton was president, America would have no true security concerns cos no country would dare attack them. |

Ibime: I think Obama's VP choice was to convince the racists who are not inherent in their racism that a half- blackman will not take over their country. |
