I have seen a sheep (ewure) give birth, it was quite an event, in fact, almost the whole street witnessed it, there was no help or assistance as seen in the above video though, it gave birth under a bus, then the owner came to take them home...everyone was just praising God, and the women empathized with the poor ewure as it cried and cried until the it gave birth.

So Empiree wont be in the room when his wife gives birth abi? angry

I have this quote and feel compelled to share it...

Hafiz Ibn Taymiyah writes:

“Its narrated from Abu Hanifah that disbelief (kufr) is not a reason to kill someone and a person is fought for his muharabah (war against the muslims), so the person who is not a fighter should not be killed”.

(Al-Sarim-Al-Maslool 247)

One wonders why people try to deliberately misinform others about Islam, and scholars of Islam
Re: Islam For Muslims: Side Talk Station by Empiree: 11:49pm On Jul 23, 2014
True. I watched newly surfaced BH on utube last night slaughtering a fellow muslim who is Naval officer, a supposed govt agent to them. And as a result they slaughtered him. Thats crazy. Thank goodness the video is blurred to avoid seeing the throat cut cus its too graphic. Those rags have invincible power behind them. Despite the officer saying he's muslim, bh could care less.

Anyways, you cant beat this little girl here

I was a nervous wreck when my sister was in labour, maybe because she is not in Nigeria. I was in tears when the baby came, she lost the first one so that added to the anxiety.

I wonder how it will be for my wife..

FAST 30 DAYS OF RAMADAN, 6 DAYS OF SHAWAL AND GET THE REWARD FOR A WHOLE YEAR FASTING. ISN'T THAT INCREDIBLE?

The Messenger of Allah, (saas), said:
"Whoever observes the Ramadan fast and follows it with six days of fast in Shawwal, it is as if he has fastedDahr (the whole year)." (Bukhari) It has been mentioned earlier thatDahr means the whole year. Possibly it may also mean forever, or for life.
Analyzing this hadith, our jurists (`Ulama) explained how according to this hadith, a Muslim who fasts during Ramadan every year and follows it with six days fast of Shawwal, will be credited for fasting a whole lifetime. The Jurists correctly said: a good deed (hasanah) is rewarded a minimum of ten times its equivalent. It follows, then, that one Ramadan is equivalent to ten months of fasting, and the clincher, six days, is equal to two months, (6x10=60). That undoubtedly completes the year's twelve months. Thus, we see the wisdom and the reason why the Prophet (saas) mentioned six days after Ramadan inShawwal, not five or seven.

Salam alaykum Mr. Maclatunji,

In respect to the FP thread.
I still greets Ramadan kareem. There's no way and nowhere in the world moon was or can be sighted yesterday hence making Sunday E'id

Kindly gather all informations at your disposal about the "Ramadan/Eid declaration". I firmly believe Sunday E'id declaration is total misguidance.

The fact that NTA aired Sultan of sokoto's E'id declaration does not give a go-ahead for E'I'd, and NL Islamic section is also responsible for any info (true or false, right or wrong) it spread by Allah.

Nigerian Muslims are too unconscious. We simply follow our "leaders" in our religious duties.

May Allah give us the tawfiq to understand His rulings better.

Anyhow, its a free choice. We just need to be extra careful with our political leaders turned religious leaders.

To those who Feast today, Eid Mubarak.
To us who continue our fasting, Ramadan kareem.

May Allah wade off our shortcomings and see us as daeef to bestow His mercy.

Walaikum Salaam Brother Baqir,

Ramadan Mubarak. I seconded your point though. But in order not drag this, i think we should let it rest ASIS. There is no report of moon sighting anywhere in the world as said in my Mosque last night. Although i am not in your time zone. I told a brother here that moon was sighted in Nigeria yesterday. He said no way. Saudi still fasting actually. Yes, i support your opinion that they need to be careful with media. You know who control them already. It's better to institutionalize "Muslim channel or TV station" in cases like this and it should be "live" 24/7 for Muslims access.

We dey fast here tomorrow (actually today- we are just a little after 3AM here) anyways

LATEST ON MOONSIGHTING (III) National
Moonsighting committe reported, that new moon
was born @ about 11:45 pm in Nigeria on saturday
(after Sultan announce his own moon) and it will
take several hours to be seen with naked eyes, even, it cannot be sighted in Africa today, except small possibility in South Africa. The case of given Clerical/Scholar task to the politicians is disgusting and need urgent attention in this country. It is ridiculous, unscientific and very wrong for anyone to announce end of Ramadan ahead of birth of new moon. Is our own sky different here, Is our own moon manufactured here in Nigeria. Find out how many country are celebrating end of Ramadan around the world? This is getting worst!!
Re: Islam For Muslims: Side Talk Station by maclatunji: 4:16pm On Jul 27, 2014
Yawns. What is the sunnah on this matter. Go back to that statement from Prof. Oloyede, is there a procedure or not before the Sultan announces? Anybody reading would think the Sultan announced from his pocket which is dubious from you.

So, you want computers to replace the sunnah of the prophet (SAW)? How.were people determining the start and end of Ramadan just 100 years ago? You can whine all you want but proper sunnah has been applied by those who pray today. If you doubt ask for information on how the Sultan got the details of sighting of the new moon and from where not this disingenous triicks you are using. The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs is open to all. Call the numbers and engage them at the very least. You have the Sultan's office to contact.

Science allows us to be more accurate about the possible days of seeing the moon. It is not against the sunnah of the messenger. It is just a predicting tool. And it is not about replacing the sunnah.

Nigeria is probably the only country in the world performing Eid today, something isn't right, we do not have a different moon.

To solve this situation, we need to incorporate both towards determining the start and end of Ramadan.

Thanks for that piece tbaba. You've said it all. Jazakumullahu khair jazal. Allah has made this deen more easier for us - atleast we have two whole months before Ramadan (Rajab and Sahaban) even if we are too lazy to study other months. It is high time we define our values in this country rather than politicizing religious stuff and quoting Quran upside down: "we must follow ulul Amir".
Re: Islam For Muslims: Side Talk Station by Empiree: 9:12pm On Jul 27, 2014
Moonsighting has always been contraversial in that country. But I was shocked when i heard yesterday that moon was sighted in nigeria yesterday. folks at my masjid were like no way. No such report from anywaywhere yesterday. Well, better to put this to rest.

Anyways, I just dont understand some of this non muslims sometimes. A sister who work muslim civil right organization few day ago receive crazy call of her life.

Phone rings: grin...grin...grin

Muslim lady: Salam alaikum, how can i help you?

Non Muslim: I know you are muslim f**ck you

Muslim lady: How can I help you brother?

Non Muslim: hanged up

Must he call at all?. Whats wrong with this people?. Geez cases like this keep growing. Sometimes some end up good news.

If you go to the south, you might want to listen to christian talk radio or NOT. They spend a lot of time talking about Islam and Muslims. How evil Islam is, etc.

It is sad because many people take it as truth, spreading incredible hate.
Re: Islam For Muslims: Side Talk Station by Empiree: 9:50pm On Jul 27, 2014
Re: I cant deal with that. I just want to run away from there. So sad. Sometimes, very rarely, some of them realized they are being fed wrong info. They come to the mosque and apologize but only once or twice i saw that. We will continue to do dawah. Who ever listens, fine.

Early this yr, a White teenager came to the big mosque in nyc and demanded to take shahadah. A week later(friday). They know many muslims come on fridays NOT SURE WHAT WE DO but they notice that. They come to vex their anger sometimes and leave (they want attention) but we never called cops for them. We understand better than that. Anyways, his mother showed up a wk later crying that her son has changed. We brainwashed her son bla bla bla. But the son who used to behave like a typical American (negatively) changed for good. Mother doesnt like his new religion but she likes his new attitude. She was yelling at the gate. Imam asked her to come in and lodge her complaints. Imam realized she was basically upset bcus the boys embraced Islam. So imam explained things to her. She acknowledged her son changed for good but she's not sure if we are diff from muslims in the media. She too, embraced Islam that day. " If this is what your religion teaches you and my son could change for good, then I have to be muslim today".

In their house however, internal warfare was going on. Just like teen's mother was upset and threatened to "sue" the mosque, her husband picked up argument with them in the house everyday. "oh you join those terrorists bla bla bla. I will sue them (muslims). He showed up in masjid to vex his anger at muslims on friday. He was attended to. Imam said but your son came here freely and embraced Islam. We dont know where he lives. In shot, the man (husband) entered Islam that day after sermon.

Sometimes, non muslims just need a little push. Thats all. But not those fanatic 9ja christians. Awon iyen ti yawo. Those ones know what they doing cuz they grew up with us. Just like the pix below, in their mind it's contradiction.

So AL Baqir, have you stopped fasting noting that you are just on day 29 on your count. What is the basis for you not continuing the fast if your answer is yes or what is your basis for continuinng the fast if your answer is no?

Fallacy ad populum. If the whole world adopts the use of computers and Nigeria rejects them, who would then be right or wrong? In essence, we might be looking for different things.

The science is not necessarily helpful. You might not readily admit this but you are not going to be willing to drop the computer algorithms because it is mostly used as the standard in North America where you trained.

Ok bro, but we do not go outside to look at the weather or stick a pole in the ground to know whether it is time for prayers. We have smart phone applications that tell us the exact times.

It helps us know the accurate times for prayers.

Today, we live in a global village so information is more readily available.
Re: Islam For Muslims: Side Talk Station by maclatunji: 12:39am On Jul 28, 2014
Tbaba read this:

An attempt to unify Muslims on a scientifically calculated
worldwide calendar was adopted by both the Fiqh Council of
North America and the European Council for Fatwa and Research
in 2007. The new calculation requires that conjunction occur
before sunset in Mecca, Saudi Arabia and that moon set on the
following day must take place after sunset. These can be
precisely calculated and therefore a unified calendar is imminent
if it becomes adopted worldwide. [4][5]

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_moon

So, you want us to adopt a western invention from 2007 to replace the sunnah of the Prophet (SAW)? We say no.

What you guys are implying is that the teachings of the Prophet (SAW) can be abandoned for technology. #CHAI

When the Prophet (SAW) was teaching us he followed the testimony of a Bedouin to start Ramadan. The import of that is great and the legacy lasting. It effectively beats your gizmos and science. #QED
Re: Islam For Muslims: Side Talk Station by maclatunji: 1:02am On Jul 28, 2014
Science abi? The new moon can be calculated by non-Muslims since it is a geographical phenomenon. What date does this website say the new moon can be sighted?

http://www.moongiant.com/Full_Moon_New_Moon_Calendar.php

May Allah guide us.

I am going through the trouble of posting these to remove the toga of infallability you guys are giving your calculations. #Sheesh.
