Henry Joseph received a very important phone call. He wasn't a fool. He had known that Linda will attempt to run again, therefore, he had hired two able and capable men to stalk her.
He picked the call and pressed the receive button.
'sir, we just confirmed that miss James is leaving town'
one of the men told him.
'tell me all you know'
'well, sir, she had been gradually selling off her stuffs for the past week. We just confirmed from one of her neighbours that she's relocating again'
'when is she leaving?'
Henry asked in panick
'maybe within the week but we are really not sure'
'what?'
Henry burst out in anger.
'did i pay you to lazy around? You are not even sure of the information you're giving me'
'sorry sir, miss James had no friends and hardly say a word to anyone. We were lucky that widow of a nanny told the neighbour'
'that's not an excuse'
Henry shouted and pressed the end button.
He furiosly picked his briefcase and laptop and walked out of the office.
'Esther, cancel all my appointments and schedules, I will be away for a day or two'
he told his secretary.
'but sir, your father...'
'tell him i won't be available for tomorrow's meeting in lagos. Someone should go in my stead'
he matched home to get an overnight bag ready.
Shan was schedule to spend the weekend with him. Damn, he will have to return before then.
By 10am that morning, he was on his way to Linda.
If he had delayed his journey for the next day, Henry would have missed her because, she was to leave as early as posible the next day.

Linda had packed her suitcases and Daisy's for the journey ahead.
It dawned on her that she hardly have any clothes left.
She quietly ate her dinner while Daisy slept. Her father had been so excited he promised to pick her up from the park.
Her door suddenly gave way and Henry walked in like he owned the flat.
She ignored him and continued eating her vegetables.
'Linda, how have you been'
'ok'
she told him quietly.
'i can see you've packed already. So you intend to leave?'
'yea'
'with my baby?'
'yes'
'damn you Linda, how can you be so callous to the father of your child?'
'Henry, i'm only going back to my parents home. I'm not runing'
'why leave?'
'nothing'
'when are you going?'
'tomorrow, i will give you my home address'
'may i take you home?'
'no thanks, i will manage'
Henry looked thoroughly at Linda. She had lost weight in two years.
He went and picked a sleeping daisy. She was so beautiful even in sleep.
The little girl smiled, and it reminded him of Linda. He decided to take her out for a walk.
'Henry where are you taking my child?'
Linda asked in panick.
'damn you Linda, she's also my child'
'give her to me'
Linda told him.
'and if i refused?'
'you won't be that callous'
His anger erupted.
'i can do that Linda. You did it to me i can do that to you. Now listen to me missy, no court will give a child to a mother who has no house or a job.
You are broke Linda. The news is everywhere that you have been fired and kicked out of this house'
He laughed bitterly.
'and you listen to me Henry, no court will give a toddler to a playboy'
Linda shouted out loud.
'we shall see about that'
Henry strolled out of the flat into the small compound carrying a tearful Daisy.
'you had her for seventeen months. It's my turn'
Linda burst into tears. She felt unclad at the mere thought of Daisy at the mercy of one of Henry's women.
She knew she can't fight him in court. She didn't have the amount of money-or the influence.
'Henry please, give me back my baby, you can visit her as often as you wish'
he smiled inwardly. That was exactly where he wanted her. He turned towards her.
'that won't do Linda. You can have her on one condition'
'what's that?'
'marry me and give her a chance of knowing both her parents at thesame time'
'no'
'then so be it. Don't worry, you will have visiting rights'
Linda saw the seriousness in his eyes. The last thing she wanted was to marry an unfaithful husband.
A thought came to her. She smiled inwardly. She will suprise Henry to his very bones.
'okay, I will marry you'
she declared in feign annoyance.
'good decision my sweetiepie'
Henry told her.
'i will only marry you in court'
'so be it'
Henry told her with a smile. Linda smiled inwardly.
'you just made a decision that will destroy you Henry. Cause by the time i'm through with you, you will be sorry for yourself'
Linda thought joyfully.

Henry asked Linda later that evening.
'Daisy'
Linda told him quietly. She wasn't feeling well at all. All she wanted was for Henry to go back to his hotel room and allow her sleep.
'Daisy, can i give her another?'
'no'
Linda shot at him. She was tired and needed rest. When it was 9pm and Henry made no effort to go, Linda went on her feet.
'you've got to go, I Daisy need a bath and sleep'
'bath her Linda, i'm not stopping you'
Linda bath Daisy while Henry silently watched. He had missed so much already. He didn't wish to miss more.
Linda managed to put her back in bed under Henry's watchful eyes. She sang her favourite lullaby and Daisy soon fall into a peaceful slumber. Linda sighed and looked tiredly at Henry.
'all these must be hectic Linda. Look at you, you need rest'
'i'm fine Henry. I'm not complaining'
'well, i'm your soon to be husband and the father of your child. I'm complaining. We shall get you a nanny as soon as we get back to Abuja'
Linda said nothing.
'Henry, please go, i need to bath and sleep'
'I'm going no where Linda'
she laughed bitterly.
'let me make myself clear, there won't be any intimacy between us until we are legally married'
'I missed you Linda'
'no you don't, not when there are more than a dozen women waiting upon you'
she told him bitterly. Henry angrilly moved towards her and forcefully captured her lips with his. The kiss was so full of anger yet it awoke a yearning within Linda
'pretend all you want Linda, i know you want me'
Linda swallowed hard in anger. She pushed him away from her.
'Henry Joseph, let me make myself clear, i won't ever share you with another woman. Get rid of them or else, i won't be responsible for whatever action i take'
he glared at her for a full minute before before storming angrilly away into the dark cold night

he returned by 9am for them.
'Henry, i'm tired, didn't sleep at all last night. Daisy was restless'
he saw the fatique in her eyes and consented.
Soon, she began sleeping. Henry watched as both mother and baby slept like new born.
He felt so proud watching them. Jordan had always been proud of Eugene. Now Henry knew what it feels like.
Daisy was the first to awake.
'mummy, tea'
he hard the little girl say in near tears. Linda awoke, bathed and fed Daisy while Henry packed their luggages to his car.
They left for Abuja by 4pm. Linda had told Henry to let them spend another night as it was already late but he won't hear of it. He wanted to be in Abuja as soon as posible.
Linda had earlia called and informed her dad everything. She told him to get ready to receive Henry's people.
'are you sure of what are you are doing? Do you really wanna marry him?'
Her father had asked.
'i really don't know dad'
she told him truthfuly.
'sweetypie, what happend to your beautiful little car?'
henry's question jot her back to the present.
'i sold it off'
'why?'
'i needed the money'
'okay'
he didn't tell her anything again. They arrived in Abuja and Linda realised for the first time just how much she missed the capital city.
She watched as Henry drove through the familiar roads to his house.
The security man opened the gate immediately. Henry drove in and parked at the lot.
The man stared in shock at Linda and then Daisy who was already asleep.
'welcome, miss Linda'
'Thank you'
she replied with a warm smiled.
The front door burst opened and Linda stared in shock as a tall woman came runing barefooted into Henry's willing arms.
The lady was tall, almost as tall as Linda. She was wearing a very short red skirt clinging to her hips and a black sleeveless dress.
'I missed you these past days'
the lady said in a sweet pitch voice.
'i missed you more'
Henry told her before placing her back on her feet.
The two seemed to have forgotten about Linda standing and clinging to Daisy.
She vowed to teach Henry and this woman a lesson they both won't forget.
'look here lady, i want you to pack your bags out of this house immediately'
Linda said as she tried disengaging her from Henry with her left hand.
The lady turned and angrilly glared at Linda.
'i'm going no where'
Linda stared at the lady. She had seen her before.
'I know you'
Linda said quietly.
'I know you too'
Lady replied and stared hard at Linda
