First of all,breeding dogs is not my principal occupation.

I do it as a hobby( i love dogs and have owned different breeds for over 20 years) , and a means to add a little change to my pocket.

Every day, i see different variations of the same tired old tale opn this section.

Look at my MONGREL/CROSSBREED is it a Boerboel/ Caucasian/ Tibetan-Mastiff.

The seller wants to sell it for 50 Kobo because he needs cash to pay for HIS FLIGHT TO THE MOON.

is it a pure breed.

The truth is

1. Pure breeds are very expensive.

2. Expect to pay big bucks for good dogs because they are expensive to maintain.

3. If the seller cannot show you pics of the parents there is something fishy.


Suggestions for ensuring sanity

1. Every seller should post pictures of the parents in lock ( ie when mating)

2. sellers are encouraged to post pics of the birthing process of the puppies( i intend to do this if and when my puppies arrive).

3. Every seller shall then take pictures with the pupp so he can be identified.

3. every seller shall post price and contact details after the aforesaid pictures .

and you realize some nigerians can be horrendous..
first of all modify your thread..not just seun attention but nairaland attention cox we are one body and all must come to agreement before a change can be made.

1.about the mating stuff..you expect us to see doggy style?
there are scammer and physcos everywhere..
use your brain..
for example..my neighbour breed alot of dog..and in order to make sometin out of it..he might decide to snap the dog mating, which is what you just suggest now..and later claim they are his.

2.about birthing process,it not all the time, your attention might be needed somewhere,also the risk involve it also what i spoke above.

3.posting pix of the owner and the dog..infact that one worst pass but it is a must..just have to be extra careful..

4.concerning.the price and all..it is till a must..yea

my suggestion though..
questioning.must be done to know the authencity of the owner and verify if they are actually the owner..
if they are tired of the questioning,then sometin is fishy.
i dont even.know how to breed a dog..yet i got one,a female gsd..*wink*

When a seller posts an ad, we need to ask him/her to post pictures (of the parents while mating, etc.) Sellers who fail to do so will be shunned by smart buyers while sellers who upload the requested pictures will be successful. We will neither try to force sellers to share those pictures nor delete ads that do not contain them, but we'll encourage buyers to ask for them.

i also suggest that a feed back section be created so buyers can come and report the experiences with the breeders and the puppies they bought
