that is not fair from google. at least they should verify the whole stories before she was removed

Google verified all the verifiables. Let's say the bitter truth. She is indeed guilty of all crimes the "haters" accused her of. It's so sad sad

Being a free blog, I'm not surprised. But she definately will bounce back from the experience she has gathered with a self-hosted blog.

*dancing sekem* nairaland is now no.1 grin
See why oga seen maintains a low profile!
Oga Seun keep up the good work!

On a more serious note, it's a sad thing. sad
My advice to aspiring bloggers; no matter your wealth, keep a low profile.

Quite sad.

But am not surprised.

You ask why?

Does it not make more sense for Linda all these while to try and register a domain name to her name instead of using a free .com? it costs just 10dollars per annum to register a domain name riding on the same blogger vehicle.

Why do you think Stella Dimoko doesn't use .com? because she foresaw the future and will rather want complete rights to all the content on her web page.

Same with Bella Naija, she infact developed an interactive website that is user friendly and mind catching.

Sorry for your loss Linda, this is not the handiwork of haters...while you were busy enjoying your new ride, also do a little more research on how you can have a website to your name or pay google 10 dollars per annum.

Chikena!
na only females dey do blogging?

Crap... This is bad... Really bad. But she should have seen it coming. No smart business person builds their business on other peoples infrastructure particularly when it can be taken down at ANYTIME. She should have moved the blog to her own personal site long time ago. Hope she rebounds from this and in even better form. Thank God she already has a brand. All she has to do now is set up a new self hosted blog -even if Google restores her address- promote the hell out of it and continue to reap the rewards.

Re: Google Removes Linda Ikeji's Blog by godG: 5:06pm On Oct 08, 2014
People aren't happy with success that is why I blame her for casting her Range. She incited her enemies through that.

Many people think Seun is a fool for living a lowkey life. SMH for their ignorance. A chameleon that walks gently dies not to talk of a frog that hits itself on the ground.

Dear Linda, the fact that almost everyone copies doesn't make copyright infringement a norm! She should pay if she is guilty. It is sad. Only few blogs in Nigeria will contact you before publishing your work - at least Omojuwa did when he published mine, but I was sad to Google the tittles of my pieces and see them pop-up on many other blogs! It is bad.

Besides, if Linda were smart like most people claim, she should have employed the services of a sound lawyer and other professionals long ago to guard what puts food on her table. I do hope Seun is learning.

She is a fool to have been late in registering many domain names. I have a blog an I registered the .com and .net despite it being just a blog I created for creating sake. I hope she comes out smarter!

Haterz will hate. Yuzedo said so in his new year predictions.

Instead of focusing on how to make it, they are busy pulling a successful person down.

oh well, she will come back stronger. (o bughi nwa afor Igbo).

Success is a journey not a destination.

She has traveled the road so she know it too well.

Linda Ikeji is more than a blog, but a brand. How she handles this setback is going to either promote the brand or diminish it completely. I always wondered why she was being complacent by not getting a custom blog developed for her, with a full domain instead of using blogger's sub-domain. I understand she was trying to protect the brand, but stagnation and innovation don't mix, especially as she has a legion of bile-filled haters spurred on by her sometimes unnecessary displays of wealth, though pardonable due to her humble background. I hope she acts fast and firmly, as her brand is too valuable to be diminished by careless oversight. A 16 year old freelancer on Fiverr can solve her problem for less than $2k.

To be honest if I were in her shoes, i'd search and locate the person that parked www.lindaikeji.com and pay as much as N80m for it, if she appreciates the true value of her brand and the potential it possesses, especially after being freed from blogger's restrictions. Its his luck (the parker) and her loss, but she can turn that table if she is smart enough.

WTF!! Is it this serious??

Lesson here: never underestimate the capability of a
business rival no matter how small they may seem.
Visit her blog every once in a while but I must confess I find
the comments there very fake as they don't carry that
"Nigerian flavour". Maybe it's just me.

Feel sorry for her.

It wasn't about business rival, since last year, several writers I know complained that Linda Ikeji was stealing their content without crediting them. It wasn't that she was sharing common gist, she would lift passages they wrote, pictures they shot and post it on her blog and MAKE MONEY OFF THEIR HARDWORK. Without giving them a kobo (she could have afforded to). Please she should stop calling haters and God, abeg, it's only in Nigeria people who steal will call on the Lord's name when caught.

Imagine if I showed up and picked up your paycheck end of this month, all because I am more popular in the company than you, will you be smiling?

Linda ikeji, I know and God knows you will laugh last and you gonna laugh so hard, its gon bring tears to your eyes. You will bounce back in million folds. You took blogging to d next level and created a platform forr other young bloggers. My friend dat owns a blog was inspired by you. I can only but imagine wat you wil be goin thru right now, but I assure you, wit God on your side, you wil scale thru. You wil come back bigger and better and even if you choose to make blogging a part time work wen you eventually come back, you wil prosper in other aspects of life. I could go on and exhaust my energy typing cos you ar worth it. And to d hackers or cybersquatters, if only you had put in dis level of energy you used to bring a successful person down in your business, imagine how rich you would have become by now. Bt you just got hate in your heart. May God forgive you, cos if men were God...
who doesn't have enemy in life Every successful business person, entrepreneur, career person, etc has competitors who want to outshine them and Linda ought to know ths for long instead she was busy bragging and feeling too pompous cos of her peanut fortunate achievement.

Lesson ppl should learn: be humble n free with ppl no matter d success u feel u have achieved, but many ladies won't learn; instead they get carried away by their little success in life.

If it were a lady that owns nairaland, wahala for de cos she for de snap all her designer undies upload for d world to see that she finally made it against her enemies' wishcheesycheesy
