I remember asking her to buy the domain name lindaIkeji.com but you will be surprised to hear what she told me.

Nairaland has been using its own server since day one. And so is GlobalRuns.com.
Do you know the advantage, you can always have your back up ready to be reinstalled at anytime. You can change host company.

If she was smart, she would have bought this domain name then. The owner said it was just 200k in naira.
Now the price has shot up to 5 million.

Why should we pity her?
She has made some money.

Next time, learn when to answer your own name.

She was making millions off Google servers and the worst of it all, she was buying exotic cars and posting it to the same Google search.

When I saw the controversy on her blog, O knew something like this will happen. The hackers are smart but well she will be back stronger and better.

However truth must be said I did miss NAiraland more when it wasn't available dan linda blog.

Most of Linda's traffic is Direct (check the attached image), meaning that most people have her site bookmarked or type it into the address bar direct because they know it off head. She shouldn't worry about domain squatters. She can try to appeal to Google to restore her address, or at least get them to link it to another website of her choosing. This time around she should buy a domain + hosting plan (so she won't be at the mercy of Google), and she probably should consider changing her Blog name (e.g. LindaIkeji2.com). Domain squatters have bought up every single permutation and combination of the words "Linda", "Ikeji" and "Blog".

Pele Linda, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, learn from your mistakes and bounce back bigger and better.

Using her connection and Woman Power, she could have humbly gotten the domain names out.

If you ask me, of what use is her showing that she built house for her parents, bought Car 1, Car 2 and Car 3 all with her blog money and showing them off.

Before she came out publishing those guy's name, If i were her, i will do that on the new domain.

She will bounce back but it will come at a serious cost. I am not happy because I visit her blog nothing less than 5 times a day for 365 days in a year. Samething with Nairaland.

She should get good technical guys, register any domain. There are permutation that she can do with the name to get a good domain name registered as fast as she can and advertize with brute force and come back quickly.

She won't pay. very stingy Lady. despite all the money she is making. she s only a woman and when it comes to IT. guys are far skilled and her problem is she won't employ anybody to work with her. this one no be gossip. cyber gurus don dey vex for her since.

I have never visited the site and I feel for her that her blog has been taken down. What beats me is why she is still using the domain name. She ought to have gotten her own domain name the moment she became popular.

Sad news! And to think fellow Nigerians made this happen......why quench another man's light when it won't help yours to shine brighter? Even if it does, why evil for God sake?
