Topic: The Fruit of the Spirit Text: Galatians 5:22-23 The fruit of the Spirit are Christian virtues which is expected to be seen in all Christians COMPONENTS OF THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT -Love: this is an unselfish benevolent concern towards another which is self denying and self sacrificing. -Joy: great delight, gladness of heart and deep rejoicing. -Peace: sense of well-being and fulfilment that comes from within -Longsuffering: the ability to endure ill treatment and provocation. -Gentleness: this is mildness combined with tenderness. -Goodness: been benevolent, ready to do good and love in action. -Faith: implies fidelity; being true to ones promise -Meekness: been kind -Temperance: self control |

We talked about CHRIST THE KING today. Although, I didn't comprehend what the Priest taught, I was damn tired! I just remember him talking about Jeremiah 18, Exodus 15 too and told us if Nigeria would be good, each of us must make Christ our King. That's all I can remember... Lol.! |

Okay lemme put it in this way: (adjust worn out bowtie)Gustavo pls feel free to preach (Gustavo climbs stage with Dakes Bible) 1st Samuel 13 vs 1-21 Amnon had "desperate love" for his sister Tamar. Fastforward to verse 15 "And Amnon HATED her with exceeding hatred, for the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the "LOVE" with which he loved her. (audience seem to be feeling Gustavo's sermon, some shout from behind "Preach on Gustavo" ) fastfoward to verse 20 "And Tamar remained desolate in her brother's house" hmm! Whose fault? Bottomline: desperate love= desolation=chaotic reaction(Absalom divided The Land of Israel becos of Tamar alone) that obey Newton's third law of Motion(for every action there is an "EQUAL but OPPOSITE reaction) (fuel finishes in gen and gen makes hiccuping sound and eventually off. Gustavo leaves podium as audience gives resounding applause.) |
