HERE WE GO : President/V.P : Buhari/Oby Ezekwesili: I believe with this pairing,the religious bigots will have nothing to say anymore about Buhari islamising Nigeria as Oby is a Christian and married to a Pastor. I also believe this would enable the APC divide GEJ votes in the South East. What are the pros and cons? Will such move drastically reduce the votes APC would have gotten in the South West if Fashola was Buhari's running mate ? (2) Key Positions if APC becomes. the. central government 1. Babatunde Raji Fashola : Minister of Petroleum. 2. Pat Utomi : Minister of Finance . 3. Nda-Isaiah: Minister of Information. 4. Rotimi Amaechi : Minister of Niger Delta Affairs. 5.Festus Keyamo : Attorney-general of the Federation. Do you think those nominated above are capable of rescuing and resuscitating this ailing country that has been molested mercilesslly by the ruling class? Am an advocate for change and I believe we need to start weeding out non performers, curropt officials and part dummies out of government.
In my opion I would support a combination of ex performing governors an excellent example is Donald Duke/Fashola as president and VP or vice versa. I don't bloddy care what party they come under, ill join that party tomorrow if they decide. In that goverment people like pat Utomi, Oby Ezekwesili, the present agric minister, Buhari and other previous performers as ministers would be great.

I have nothing against Oby Ezekwesili, but my fear is the same as that of Demdem: how many votes can she give APC? Whoever that becomes a candidate is expected to use their candidacy to pull votes for their party. But in the case of Ezekwesili, she may not be able to do this because her geo-political zone, South East, is bent on voting for Jonathan.

It's not about depleting APC vote ( which can happen anyway) but the value her coming into the ticket will bring....

You considerations here are religion....tribe and gender.

How many votes can each of those considerations come up with.? I doubt if they can be more than couple of thousands.

Oshiomhole is one guy I respect a lot, having witnessed the transformation of Edo state after years of misrule by Igbinedion and Osunbor from 1999 to 2008. Within 3 years, Oshimohle achieved more than the previous 9 yrs of PDP misrule. I was schooling in Benin then. Fashola is another performer. No Pdp governor is fit to lace Fashola's shoes. I have heard (and seen on TV) a lot of good things about Aliyu Wammakho of Sokoto and Kwankwaso of Kano but I can't conclude on hearsay,cost I haven't been to these places. How about Rochas in Imo. I always watch his press conferences on AIT, where he intimates his followers on recent developments, the next line of action, etc. I was at Owerri in September and I was amazed. The beauty of the city is amazing.Same thing with Orlu. How about Ogbeni Aregbesola? While I admit that there is more to be done, the APC govs are angels when compared to their PDP counterparts. Take for example, the recent Ebola scourge that threatened to ravage Nigeria. The swiftness and commitment of the state govs ( Lagos and Rivers) played a big part in the containment of the virus from spreading further. Imagine if such had happened in Abia, Kogi, Ebonyi or Delta. It would have been a different story today.
