I'm neither...I'm just someone who was involved in capital raising and due diligence for a couple of the DISCOs. Your tirade and childish rant would be ignored. I will furnish you with links:

http://www.wapicforum.com/tcnigeria - Look for where it states, '"The current transmission capacity of Abuja-based TCN is 5,500 megawatts compared with an installed generation capacity of 8,000 megawatts. This means that if generation companies were operating at full capacity, the grid would be unable to transmit all of the power to homes. The government wants transmission capacity to exceed 6,000 megawatts by 2016", Nebo said.

For further reading...educate yourself with this document: http://www.nigeriaelectricityprivatisation.com/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2011/02/Transmission_Company_of_Nigeria_Investor_Forum_Presentation.pdf

Ability to play with words does not signal you have the brightest argument...it may indicate you'll sound intelligently stupid. Don't refer to someone as an illiterate if you failed the homework.
maestroferddi:
Are you talking as a technical illiterate or as a professional/qualified engineer?

Do you know the basic process involved in getting the power you consume across to you?

Can you furnish me with a government white paper or any official report stating that our basic power problem is transmission?

For the record, the crux of our power inadequacy stems from generation constrains traceable to the very poor maintenance culture inherent in our national establishments. The shortfall in our power needs eventuates from the decrepit and moribund power systems/machines in our power stations.

Have you heard of Turn Around Maintenance (TAM) on the machines and the colossal cost of doing so to revive machines that have gone comatose?

How can transmission be our problem when we are even exporting power?

Ogbeni, please stick to what you know...

After this interview, I believe people should have no doubt that this man is intelligent, and very active. He's going to work as Vice President, not the follow-follow houseboy in Aso Rock. Buhari himself has shown previously that he is a man who lets his deputy to work. Change has come.

Looking at Nigerians I still see people who are easily deceive. they say talk is cheap, is it by coming out to talk that matters bt doing the field work. I pity some Nigerians they have still not learn their lesson.if Osibanjo gets into power you will see him talking and acting in a different way. Nigeria's pls wise up.

Please how do you know this? I can't blame you though because our leaders have failed us over and over but this is why change is needed to give other people a chance to prove themselves. Doing more of the same is not really wise

good, the up should be fix, I agree but would you also agree that even when the leg is bad, it can't take the head where it wants to? If those u and I sent to represent us even the so call APC saints saw that the head is bad, what have they done to address the system or are they all APC, PDp, etc blind to see nor deaf to the ppls complain? Must thier be a change in power before drastic steps are taking? The petroleum industry bill is there with our representatives, what stopped them from passing it knowing fully well it will sanitize the industry of corruption? Just last month, the labour unions came out to ground activities to the detriment of millions of Nigerians because they were protesting for one of their members who was victimized, then they realized the PIB is not passed and pretended to be fighting for the masses. The recommendations of the national conference is there, why do they have to select some that didn't affect them to look into?

yea, I understand and I agree with you but just as I mentioned earlier all of those representing us aren't doing enough to help. Its for thier selfish interest. We see how they jump ships from one party to the other. If the bill is sent for the house to look into and agree on, will the president now be accused to have stopped it when he has promised no interference between all tiers of govt? Why the delay? I bet you even some opposition will not want to support the bill when its not in thier favor. Even reps from our regions will want to know how it will affect them-positively or negatively irrespective of thier party. Selfishness. Look at our judiciary, why is our court process taking time? Even if the head is accused to be bad, was the head controlling the rumbles that sometimes takes place in the stomach? While the head is yet to do more, some followers are worst.

What I am saying is that we have been hearing such speeches in the past, even better ones and little or nothing was done when they get the position.

I still remember OBJ's first broadcast in 1999 when he came back as the civilian president that by 'dec 1999' power issue (electricity) would be resolved totally as in there will be steady power supply in Nigeria. Fastforward to 16yrs today,2015,is the power steady today?
Where are all the billions od dollars that was released for the project? Nigerians forget very easily. Please get the tapes of our past presidents speeches since 1999,I am not even saying since 70s,then listen to them and see how far we have been deceieved as people.
No be today. I don't trust any of them. I would have supported a much younger presidential candidate in the opposition but certainly not an old man. What is wrong in making the likes of BRF,Godswill, etc the preisdent of this country. I am not from their state, but I have been following their government.
You are focusing on talk alone. Look inside at the character. There lies your answer. BRF will play a HUGE role in Buhari's govt.....and his time will come

Sorry o. You are the Olodo.

There are so many Generation companies (Gencos) with under-utilized capacities. Dangote and Ibeto Cements alone generate more than they require but there's no transmission infrastructure to plug it to the grid. Rivers IPP's generated power is not evacuated by Transco because of ''order from above''. Find out the total capacities of Gencos and match with what's obtainable.

Did anyone heard the part that he said 1983 to now is 21yrs?

The last I checked,1983 to 2015 is 32yrs.

Most of the policies are always easier said than done. Even Obama isn't finding it easy fixing the US with all their resources, technology, intelligence etc.

Answering questions is not the same as performing when elected. There are many unforseen forces, factors, elements, groups, obstacles that will hinder the smooth running of those good initiatives. It is good to have a very good plan, good answers, good ideas, wonderful proposals, but it is a different ball game entirely when one is in that position.

sometimes you guys speak with both sides of your mouth....

The man you all support clearly avoided debates and media through out his campaign in 2011 and 2007, he appeared in an interview with Dbanj which was obviously rehearsed then went ahead to debate him self, yet people voted him in.

sorry just passing by. But why GEJ? Why not first ask the contractor who is an igbo man for not doing the road, why not ask the representatives from that states, why not ask Ike ekweremadu who is the deputy senate leader then publish thier comments before attacking the president who must have release the money to them. Do you know if the contractor from your state or the representatives from your state have diverted the funds. FOI is not just to open the mouth wide. Go to the right quarters and do the needful first. Na WA for people oh!
No offence. If you head a company or corporation, and ......let's say you release money for a project, mayb a for an extension of d company's office building, do you mean to tell me dat your duty is done? now dnt get me wrong. I am not saying GEJ should not be blamed oh, but do you know the thousand of projects going on at the same time in this country right now and you expect the president to be on all of them at the same time? they have local and state govt, representatives closer to them who they can easily ask questions and even raise an alarm and know why the project is not continuing. This could help. For instance, the oshodi-Apapa, lagos-ibadan express road, the medias are close and the ppl are talking about it almost everyday, so do one expect such works be abandoned even when the govt sits in Abuja? So ppl need to start on the day the projects are approved to take charge until the projects completes rather than wait to pay back on the d-day even when they know some government workers are fraudulent and sycophants who may not mean well for thier boss and the nation.

The poor in Lagos have in the last decade+ been benefiting from FREE LEGAL Services through Office of the Public Defender established by Osinbajo as Attirney General of Lagos State.
