Otta, 2003: Sunday afternoon, went to drop off dad's car at the mechanic, had no change(bike fare was #30 and I had a #1000 note on me) and decided to enjoy a walk home. I decide to explore a new route and, viola, I come upon a business centre and decide to put a call through to a friend make we for hang out; see we had phones but no airtime in those days.

Someone was on the phone when I got there so, I had to wait my turn. In the meantime, there was a lovely looking gyal sitting by the side eating ofada rice and as I was hungry I asked to join, and with the most dazzling smile made to give me the dish, I said thanks and said I was kidding and asked her name which she told me. So, I put my phone on silent mode, took their phone and dialled my number twice and told them the guy didn't pick, I totally forgot to call my homey.

I get home and dial the number and asked to speak to her, it turns out she was the daughter of the phone centre woman and I only had the chance to chat her up because mom was attending to another customer. Anyway, her mom tells me to call her own phone and I say it's not going through. She hands over the phone to daugjter and I proceed to introduce myself "erm, I'm the guy that asked for rice now now. Please, don't hang up". Somehow, she found it funny angry and the rest is history. We're currently trying for baby number 2. Hehehehe. grin

Sometimes it is good when things develop their own way, like not having change when you actually need it or having to wait in a queue. cheesy cheesy
Funny, I took an extremely long route home that day. I really had no reason going through that area. I guess fate called and I answered. wink

To be frank, it's not that difficult. We only tend to look in the wrong places.

It is difficult because unlike your studies or career, there is little you can do to influence it. And no matter what you do, it just happens or doesn't, you cannot force it. Even you didn't do much, it was fate or maybe coincidence but you didn't know on that day that you would meet her there. You didn't plan it, I doubt one can plan it.

It's always been easy for me. After the initial gra gra the ukwa will still fall but ehn sometimes it is so hard that you start to wonder if there are any right places to look in at all.

ihedinobi2; Carefreewannabe: I think it's easy because people are literally right there, waiting to be coupled up. We dated on and off for five years, you know school and all came between us. But to be frank, knowing all the girls I dated, she complemented me the most. We often fail when we're looking for perfect people to be our spouses. I met her pretty young, I think the older one leaves it, the harder it becomes.

I didn't really analyse the situation but my eleda had it on lock grin. Plus she's fine as all heaven, it was an easy decision for me. wink

The quantity is not the problem, the quality is.

Before I met my boyfriend, I dated and dated and I met a lot of "strange" people who I could not go on a second date with, not to think of having a relationship with. Some were really strange, others were ok but I felt that they were not meant for me. I believe that it SOMETIMES can be very difficult to find the right one. It also depends on the person, of course.

Bro, I had an on-again, off-again for six years and a half. It was a hard one but I was gonna take it anyway because I loved the hell out of her. Things went south because she was all set and I was still sorting my life out. No blames on her. We had difficulties in our relationship but as far as I was concerned, as long as we shared the same faith and loved each other we'd make it. It ended and I was scared when it did because it wasn't supposed to. I'd already gotten "older" and I had no idea how to do this whole "adult" dating thing everyone did. I dated my "growing-up" friends, people I had a connection with, not fine strangers I didn't know from Adam.

Then I fell for someone and, bro, I could do without the pain. I thought to ignore romance until I'm all set economically. But we all know that it's not easier then. And I found a perfect complement so why postpone? But, ehn, at present, lifelong celibacy is very appealing. I only feel bad because I can already taste the cynicism in the back of my throat.

Interesting. Thanks. smiley

I am the kind of person that does not develop feelings quickly. Many men scared me off because they would want to be in a relationship too fast, doing too much too quickly.
