The Bayelsa Police Command’s spokesman, Mr. Egweavon Emokpai, confirmed that an improvised explosive device was used for the blast and that the police command is on the trail of the bombers. Meanwhile, the Labour Party has accused the PDP of being the masterminds of series of blasts to intimidate the party’s supporters in the state.

Alaibe has vowed that “No matter the number of AK 47, bombs and attacks, that will not deter us from liberating our Bayelsa people from the grip of bad governance and backwardness.”

My assertions as regards the likely results in the SE are summarized below (and you are free to disagree with each or all of them):

1. Buhari is SURELY going to do MUCH BETTER in your SE than his performance in 2011.

2. GEJ, on the other hand, is going to do LESS WELL in the SE because of some changes in the political dynamics of the region.
