It chases away(or more accurately irritates) most arthropods though...scorpions, spiders,etc can't stand crude oil and it's derivatives....

Wait! shocked Doesn't that mean scorpions and the likes are spirits? grin

Superstitions often lead to the wrong conclusion....is someone mad or possessed, is someone having epilepsy or being attacked by spirits, is someone having malaria or bad blood.....
