I totally share the same views with the writer of this article.

I especially believe that the churches of nowadays take the Lord Jesus as their personal ATM and father christmas.

Meanwhile Jesus told his followers to carry up their cross and follow him which means he is not your Lord for the sake of answering your material prayers but to lead you to salvation.

The Christianity we practice now especially the pentecostal form is nothing but 419.

hehe i just love this guy. he speaks his mind regardless of who it will hurt. today you may love his write up only to find out that his tomorrow write up is set up to nail u. what is important is that he speaks his mind and many times his analysis aren't wrong.

i was born in assemblies of God, later on i moved to church of God mission and finally became a catholic. back then catholic church never preached tithe giving, of course the rev fathers after spending over 15years in the seminary couldnt pretend to know it wasn't applicable to the church of christ. but as soon as the Pentecostals turned tithing into a huge fund raiser, the catholic priests copied it and till date pretend as though it has been the practice of the church since day 1. my advice to Christians is to read the bible yourselves, not in verses but as a book from generation down to revelation. only then would you find the truth for yourselves and you would realize how wrong we have all gone

I agree with etcetera . Many people go to churches nowadays to feel among and to get the trendy car stickers displaying the church logos. The emphasis on prosperity by some pastors isn't also helping matters. The ultimate ambition of every Christian is to make heaven . That's the only glorious eternal and everlasting life the devil cannot offer. Even people who worship the devil or non Christians are wealthy at times . The emphasis as a Christian should be a prayerful life filled with the Holy Spirit for direction. Making heaven is not beans o. Once heard a testimony from a converted devil worshipper who said people in the kingdom of darkness were so angry in a particular year because too much people made heaven ; too much people in this case was just 15. So whether you attend RCCG, winners, day star or celestial church of Christ, your ultimate ambition should be to make heaven which is a Herculean task but possible. Please don't focus on the messenger. My friend is a strong critic of Benny hinn and he attends RCCG. When I told him Benny hinn once prayed for pastor adeboye in Nigeria , he was dumb founded. Focus on the Holy Spirit and be prayerful. Jesus has a direct line so you don't need to go through any pastor or prophet.

Can't place what it is but somethings seems somehow with d following;

1.Pastors give front seat to agbada flowing money giving men and women of timber and caliber, irrespective of their source of funds.
2. Pastors hosts, visits and openly prays for politicians for God's blessing, not for repentance, prayer of a sinner and call to repentance are exclusively reserved forr the poor, hungry and downtrodden.
3.Corrupt politicians are d frequent visitors of the pastors and vice versa where d same pastors donot know where the poor serious dedicated church attendants live.
4.Pastors fly private while followers trek on empty stomach.
