Fulani and Yoruba
my mum told me about when she served in and around Adamawa-Yola (then still in Old gongola) in the 1980's, she would see two people all the time stooling in front of each other, (with both of them looking in different directions)... and all she would hear would be
"Awali jam?, Jam bandu na?, jam Kodume, No comri?, No wuro jam?, No sukle?, On yambe na?, A do satti na?, jam jam?, Saare fuh jam na?" ... this would go on for like 5-10 minutes non stop, till one of them stands up (which neither of the them wants to be the first to do ... lol).
This is why Fulanis are called the "Jam-jam" people.
Oya Fulaman, come and say their meanings, hope I spelled htem right

But Yorubas take the cake.
They can greet you to death, there is a greeting for every event, occasion, situation etc.....
Yorubas are also known as the 'E ku" people, E ku ale, E ku Aaro, E ku Ayeye, E ku Owolomi, E ku Ijeun, E ku Irole, Eku Igbeyawo, Eku Isinku, E ku this, E ku that ...... probably up to 1,000 times in one day .... lol

lol.... how about not even greeting at all, to show that you are very very busy, and do not have time for anyone but yourself....
