Words on the marble. Though harsh, but painfully true. 89 years after Lord Lugard made this infamous statement, the stark reality staring at us proves him right. Africans are still backward till this age. Our hatred for our fellow race is the bane of our existence. sad sad sad if you want to doubt him, take a look at the current cesspit Nigeria is in.
and look how lugard ended his blood line no trace of him in England today. Nobody to continue his bloodline

Try grow sense, he spent more of his life time in the south(west to be precise) than in the north....once again you are brainless..hes talkin about blacks generally, your bigoted stone age mentality won't let u see that your grandfather might just be the reason he made that statemnt.
I don't know y you choose to just abuse or so, you should have asked me how... you said he spent most of his life in south, but do you know lokoja was was the capital of Nigeria when he was the HOS, and don't forget "that is if you know" he had more of his ally from the north due to the military base in north then, so you know he would have seen the life of an African through the Notherners. so try understand me and be respectful becos you lack one
and remember the hausas and fulani were the most proficient in cattle rearing then, so he knew what he was saying and what angle he was coming from.

Cuturally and in every way the Hausas are more evolved than Eboes definitely at the time of Lugard the Eboes were the most backward and primitive group in Nigeria so any gloating or smugness is misplaced

I'm surprised you could make that derogatory statement. Your opinion is highly fallacious and illogical. Beyond 20th century and up to this present moment, Africans have continued to make unprecedented achievements in our history and these great feats have constantly falsified that claim by Lord Lugard.

African States are only greatly hampered by the problems of corruption, leadership,......Given the necessary and conducive environments, Nigerians, and indeed Africans, can stand toe to toe with people in other continents of the globe. This has been always confirmed when one hears success stories of brilliant Nigerian students who excelled remarkably in foreign universities. There are also several Nigerian intellectuals/scientists who have made some wonderful inventions/contributions to knowledge, notable among them are Philip Emagweli (Father of Internet), Wole Soyinka, Niyi Osundare, just to mention a few; these people and several others could perform these epoch-making feats because of the enabling environment they found themselves in.

North and their born-to-rule mentality started right before we got our independence.

[b]Northerners are most intellectual and politically concious people in Nigeria. As long as the others will remain they way they are northerners will remain born to rule.

Right.
90% of Black Africans are closer to animals in reasoning. I am absolutely sure.
But then it's not our fault.

We just found ourselves in this situation.

You are not really an evolved being and clearly have not been exposed. What do you know about European minds? . I will not say Lugard is right or wrong that would be a subjective and emotional approach but to be objective one must have some real understanding of the so-called "animal" mind and its mechanics of functioning and whether indeed it is different from "human" Minds and in what ways. That people a are "backward" is debatable and even if true is not evidence of bestiality but rather ignorance.
The politics of Lugards statement is Africans are less than us they are animals so it is not immoral for us to kill us or take their land and here you have your misguided self nodding in simian acquiescence. Just like it is okay to kill chickens and cows. But that statement was made to justify colonialism and entrench supremacy

If anyone's mind is closest to the animal it is the Europeans I suggest you study history well before making ignorant assertions.

Africans do not get sexual pleasure shitting in each others mouths and pissing in each others faces or exchanging wives etc If you believe that the current IT technology is the best that man can do you are small minded history is a thousand year journey. 200 years ago there were no cars, planes or jets . and 2500 years ago Europeans did live in caves like animals .
/
Name one thing you can be proud of as a black.

Nothing.

Lord Lugard nailed it.

The little thing that separated Africans from animals came from the whites.
