Shake Something by Jazzman Olofin has a LOT of lyrical "gems" from the benign: "Baby o baby/Come be my lady" to my personal "favourites": "Twist your belly/Like spaghetti" and "Omo o tasty/Like Fried Chicken". Some other "gems" include: "Your shaky shaky/Is finger-licking" (obviously re: the fried chicken reference- very "creative"wink and the deeply urgent and of course very "sexy": "Hurry hurry/Take me to mummy/Cos in my dreams I see/My baby in your tummy."

In light of the above, i wonder wot u guys think of M.I?

''They used to think he would never counquer V.I, now he's the king of the south like T.I'' (Talk about it - Area)

Is he a reason to believe that eventually, we would ''separate the wheat from the chaff''?

It sort of reminds me of what's happened in d yankee scene, now dat Jay-Z appears to have become the indomitable rapper of all time, a feat dat took about 10 years

My estimation is dat the more relevant ur music is to the experiences of ur listeners, the greater ur chances of success in the long run, and the lyrics are just symptomatic of ur real or imagined abilities

Well, Afro-centric hiphop has changed d naija music scene, and am loving it really!!!!

Just interested in ur thots ladies & gents,

Truth is, most Nigerian artistes have no business writing songs.

You see, there is an art known as songwriting. There are people who can't sing or perform, but are blessed with the writing gift and so, they do just that and sell it to singers/rappers. People like R.Kelly, Ne-Yo, Dianne Warren to name a few are successful songwriters who have written for numerous artistes.

But, most Nigerian artistes are too DUMB to realise that they are not good enough, so they irritate our ears with wacky, digusting, kindergarten rhymes. angry angry

The sooner they realise that people are listening and reading their lyrics, the better.

Didn't want to mention any names or songs, but i just have to give honour to whom honour is due,

Dbanj, P-square, Idris are a few of the many unsongwriters, special shout out to J-martin's good or bad's first verse, stinks to high heavens! I won't even bother paying tribute to the many upcomin acts that need to switch careers fast!

Thankfully, there are some good folks doing us proud, Asa, T.Y Bello, M.I, thumbs up guyz!

Morale of this , you dont have to be a singer-songwriter, Please.

Deji ure stubborn!

how can abiara be a prophet, he is a pastor if abiara is a prophet then i am a prophet and even fela is even better than abiara in prophecy so i take fela as a prophet as well.
