No, they will never listen. They throw insult around anyhow. I remember one case years back. I was coming out of a revolving door at work to go quickly to the opposite building. This woman rushed in with her daughter like a mad woman and nearly pushed me down. I looked at her surprised, she looked at me angrily mumbling what seemed like insult. Anyway, I continued my mission with my black behind o. About 30 minutes later I called a name in the outpatient waiting area and this lady and her daughter appeared from one corner. I could see the surprise in her face. Her child was on my list and not the professor's. She later apologised profusely but I wasn't impressed. If I was just another menial worker, the chance to apologise would never have come.

Your speech controls your life! Abusive language can steal your good days away without notice.

We are all getting something wrong here.

Either the interviewer or applicant, we are all human.

What if it was the interviewer that was wrong and the applicant told him to Bleep-off out of anger?

What if the applicant is a seasoned professional who can't be easily pushed away?

What if the company desperately needs the services of the applicant.

Let's not be too 'african' and see life from the other angle.

Just as the saying goes " some people sees a half-empty cup while others sees a half-full cup".

Its not over for the applicant and his destiny doesn't lie with the interviewer!

Thanks all.

Like, seriously? So he told you to F off and so what, he doesn't get the job for that reason? Dude, get your god-complex-induced ego out of the way and conduct a fair interview for the guy. If he's good for the job, blasted hire him. The job is NOT about you. Get an apology later, if you will, but please don't mess an organisation up because of your personal (petty) concerns!

So he doesn't get the job because of what he told you. What do you get for what you told him? The boot, if I had my way. Nobody is supposed to worship you because they're looking for a job.

P.S. It's interesting how everyone believes in karma even where no one believes in God. Who presides over the administration of that ish, anyway? Must be the devil. At least we all seem to agree he exists - we see him in us all the time!

I share your thoughts.

It is obvious the interviewee never cared about what the interviewer did or said. The interviewer on the other end is trying hard to justify is action, perhaps his conscience bears testimonies against him.

Some people be looking for who to enslave. I say to you lets do business, keep sentiments aside. Keep your end of the agreement, I keep mine.

You try to bully me into submission cos you are the boss, aint gonna work and you can't lay me off cos you know I do my job judiciously.

The reason people try to please the boss in other way is cos they don't stick to job description/backbite the boss/engage in shady deals etc.

Hence, they try other means to be in the boss good book. Bad move, the boss knows those who are faithful. Emotion aint allowed in business/partnership. This is the truth and most Nigerians are oblivious of it.

Aje ! wenne malu.

See this one. A person that can tell a stranger to Bleep off is not wise and doesn't not deserve to work in a respectable place, among respectable men.
