"And they will go out and look on the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; the worms that eat them will not die, the fire that burns them will not be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind."
But:
23 And in Hades (the realm of the dead), being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far away, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried out and said, Father Abraham, have pity and mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.
Luke 16:23,24 Jesus was the One Who said this and I believe He wont describe things that were not there!

As regards Isaiah 66:24
The use of the word dead as related to the final judgement is focused on Eternal separation from God that is why those that stood before God in Revelations 20 were called the dead! Were they corpses? NO. They were those who were already separated from God!

What then is the essence of the worms not dying and the fact that death will be the enemy that will be destroyed(1 Corinth 15:26)? If the people thus condemned were to be annihilated?

Then, what will be the final judgement for the antichrist and the devil that empowered him?

The very thought of Hell is terrifying. Such a thought is an intense provoker for many to repent of their sins and revere the word of the Lord. However, others think little of Hell. For example, you may have heard someone say something like €how could a loving, kind, and merciful God send me to Hell?€ Such people who hold this view must be taught the truth of the matter before it is too late and they find themselves in the very place they once believed they would never experience.

The truth of the matter is found in the word of God, for Jesus Himself said to the Father €Thy word is truth€ (John 17:17), we know we can depend on God for a true answer. After all, it was God who created Hell as a place of eternal punishment (Matthew 25:41), thus He is the only divine source of knowledge about Hell and who will go there. Therefore, in response to the question €how could a loving God send me to Hell?€ God's word shows that God is loving, kind, and merciful, and He does not want to send anyone to Hell. Consider 2 Peter 3:9 €The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.€ This scripture clearly outlines God's feelings. He does not desire that anyone go to Hell, instead He wants all to come to repentance of their sins. But the question now arises, what if someone does not repent of their sins?

who are u to challenge it\his or her judgement,he will roast all of us cos he enjoy roasted human being grin
Romans 2:1-16 should be deeply considered by all who have questions about who will go to Hell and why God would send them. The text explains that God is rich with goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, and that it is these characteristics of God that leads one to repentance (verse 4). For an example of this, consider John 3:16, €For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.€ God is so good and loving to us that He gave us the perfect means by which we can escape Hell. Therefore the problem of people going to Hell does not rest on God, but on man. If you look back at Romans 2:5 it says €in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath.€ The blame is on the individual with the hardened heart, who is unwilling to repent of their sins and allow God to forgive them at baptism. The fault is their own because the loving, kind, and merciful God is there to save them from Hell, but they refuse Him.
For those who struggle to see how the LORD is merciful even when sending someone to Hell, I plead with you to meditate on Psalm 62:12, which says: €Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; For You render to each one according to his work.€ This text shows that God truly is merciful while He either rewards or punishes an individual according to the way they lived their life. And this He will do again when the final Day of Judgment commences: €For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.€ Matthew 16:27.

Ezekiel 18:29-32 perfectly incorporates the truths of our present discussion: "Yet the house of Israel says, 'The way of the Lord is not fair.' O house of Israel, is it not My ways which are fair, and your ways which are not fair? Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways," says the Lord GOD. "Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies," says the Lord GOD. "Therefore turn and live!€
€The judgment of God is according to truth€ Romans 2:2. On the Day of Judgment, God will judge €according to truth€ and not according to a lie. The lie is that God will not send a sinner to Hell. The truth is much different, for €when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power€ 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9.

Anything that you can't see, measure, and or prove either logically or empirically is as good as it doesn't exist. The worst of it is that it is not plausible. Where will you start laying hypothesis of hell.

Where did you want me to gather evidence to start disproving hell and also how do you intend proving the reality of it since there is no iota of anything to lay hand on. Zero. Therefore it is irrelevant.

Mind you, am not asserting absolute certainty. That's where science surpassed faith. Faith thrives in absolutism without evidence and prove while science deals with skepticism even in the face of mountains of evidence.

You should have know that science and religion are strange bedfellows. Hell exist, and those who believe in God know that to be truth; by faith and by one's personal experience, understanding and relationship with God and His word.
It does not need anyy empirical data or scientific proof to ascertain it's credibility or existence.
It is something you believe or you simply don't believe. Period!

Well those of us that have experienced the supernatural don't have to wait for science. That is why we believe in it even without the scientific proofs you are looking for.
Exactly right! Those who wants to wait can wait. But qwe that have known the truth have no need of science to prove or tell us what we have come to know and understand.

Just like they say there is no God (the supernatural), yet some of the things that happens above, within and around us are simply not of our own human making, or withing the range of human capability.
Re: How Could A Loving God Send Me To Hell? by Appleyard(m): 1:28pm On Sep 05, 2015
You are not able to witness the supernatural does not mean there is nothing like it. What you believe, the position you are at some particular point in time, and outright co-incident or sheer luck, may determine whether you will or not witness the supernatural. At times, you might have even witness the supernatural, but you still do not know it. This is where your belief system actually comes in to play.

"imagery of gods" you said? Kid not yourself brother: God and gods exist, and even your baseless science can't deny it.

Both of us are stocked in this planet earth as apes of same specie. How come you are witnessing something supernatural and am not. Maybe you do witness extra-ordinary and complex waw stuffs that human brain are incapable of solving (sometimes solved but you doubt it cos of your presuppositions) , then you decided to nickname yours as supernatural or known unknowns. It is a confirmation bias. Because i don't know anything about X therefore Y must be the answer.

Bro, this is the reasons why men for millennia have created pretty many imagery gods and fantasies they hold as fact and true.

You don't even need to flog anyone. All u need to do is to let the kids know that they will be flogged if they flout rules and u will see them fall in line.

The same way, religion invented a system of punishment so horrible and unimaginable that people who might even want to go against its tenets just hold themselves back because of the fear of punishment.

Many people are religious today just because of the fear of hell. Nothing more. Nothing less. Remove the doctrine of punishment in hell fire from religious teachings and watch the whole system crumble like a pack of cards.

The bible says God's love is unconditional.
Then it also says he punishes people who reject his love.
Isn't that oxymoronic in itself.

When u have truly understood the meaning of unconditional love, then u will understand that either the bible is lying or that the bible writers were deceived.

The only thing humans are searching for is the ultimate meaning of their existence on earth.

Religion originated with man. And not God.
Man started seeing things he couldn't understand.
Seeing patterns that he couldn't explain and he attributed it to supernatural beings.

Why do you think religion is failing in developed countries?
This is because those things which man couldn't previously explain and were attributed to supernatural beings are now being explained.
It is as simple as that.

Pls give me some examples of those things which man couldnt explain previously, but are now been explained in developed countries.

I know the problem of most people supporting this idea, these are mostly people that have tried all within their power to avoid sin, they are the ones that say i surrender to Jesus today and tommorrow back to the devil, they are those who have confessed their sins to their spiritual leaders, gone for prayers, deliverance fasted, but still found themeselves entangled in sin and thus because of all the above efforts they decide to conclude that "God is too loving to send his creations to a place called hell".I pity you.... If you doubt what i'm saying then just try to ask those who say God can't send people to hell if they beleive anyone can live a life without sin?do not be suprised to hear"it can never be,it's not possible, man will always continue to sin" this is their source and reason for the conclusion above"GOD is not wicked to send his creation to hell" .But i tell all that are in sin repent and escape HELL!!!.

You are very correct! Many can't deal with sins in their life, and the easier way out is to put the blame on God who they don't even understand a jot about.

take a knife and slaughter your hen , what happens to it ? It died ! Thats a little experiment that will let you understand what death is .
So when the Bible talks about "the wages of sin is death", it means, death in the literal sense? If so, it shows you are still understanding the concept of death as use in this context.

Now, let us examine Romans 6:23 which says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”It has it core in the concept of sin. Sin is rebellion against God. And when we sinned, our sin separates us from God, the creator and sustainer of
life. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life” (John 14:6). God is known as the great “I AM.” Life is in God. So, when we sin and become separated from God, we become separated from true life. Therefore, perforce, we experience death.

There are three points of clarifications that must be made here:

First, sin does not necessarily result in physical death right away. Romans 6 is not telling us that when we sin we will physically die. Rather, it is referring to spiritual death (eternal seperation from God).

Secondly, when we are saved in Christ, we are rescued from ultimate spiritual death and brought into ultimate
spiritual life. For instance, Paul told the Romans, “The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23b).

Third, even believers' sins will still result in a type of spiritual “death.” Though we are rescued from the ultimate penalty of sin (eternal separation from God), we
are not exempt from the natural consequences of a
broken relationship with the Father. When we sin, we experience the symptoms of spiritual death. We may feel guilty, empty, confused, or disconnected from God. We
act as the unrighteous rather than as the righteous. Our sin, even as believers, hurts the heart of God and grieves His Spirit (Ephesians 4:30). Our sin does put a barrier
between us and God. So it is with us and God. When we rebel against God’s rule in our lives, we rebel against the very Life (that eternal life), and therefore experience “death” (a brokenness resulting in pain). But when we return to God, we are also restored to spiritual life—communion with God, a sense of purpose, righteousness, freedom, etc.

The rejoicing father in the Parable of the Prodigal Son said it best: “This son of mine was dead and is alive again” (Luke 15:24). Now, ask yourself; did the prodigal Son died physically when the father was making that statement?grin I believe you already know the Answer.cheesy

That is the indept meaning of the term " death " as it relates to " Sin " as used in Romans 6.

Did you read the verse 6 of the chapter you quoted?

knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin

The wages or rewards of sin is spiritual death which is separation from God. However, this chapter talks about 'crucifying' the physical 'the body of sin', that is, destroying the power of sin in the body (not spirit) by crucifying it as Christ was crucified on the cross resulting in its death so that one is freed from the power of sin.

Once a person accepts Christ as his or her personal Lord and Saviour, the spirit of that person is made alive and reconciled with God. As a result, the Spirit of God would be able to dwell in that person. But, the person's nature, desires, wants, goals, ambitions, etc are still ruled by the old nature of sin. This is where the daily actions of crucifying the flesh or body of sin and renewing the mind come in.

At regeneration, God does something about the spirit by making it alive. However, it is up to us to subject the body to make it obey God's commandments.

In conclusion, as you crucify your fleshly or sinful desires daily you die to sin, and since sin has no power over a 'dead body', you become free from it.

I dont need to read a stupid post to know what fact is.
Fact remains fact whether scientifically acquired or otherwise.
Fact according to meriam webster:
(a)something that truly exists or happens,:something that has actual existence.
(b)a piece of information presented as having OBJECTIVE REALITY.
synonym:actuality,factuality,MATERIALITY,REALITY.

Get a dictionary, its very easy to use and understand.
You tool.

I won't be drawn into a needless argument over the application of the meaning of fact to what you term imagination. There are millions in the world who have the same opinion as you while there are also millions in the world who have the same conviction of reality through experience and observation of God's existence as I do.

I don't want us to go around in circles defining, analysing, dissecting, and breaking down the meaning of fact to show it as applying to our opposing beliefs.

Been there, done that.

Why is this study of hypnosis not applicable to the Muslims and Greeks? Will you deny the fact that their beliefs teach the afterlife and the underworld? Again, why haven't there been reports of widespread hypnosis among the adherents of these religions?

You don't know what the Bible teaches because you have never read what it says about hell. Where in the Bible is it said hell is not populated yet? Now I'm curious.

Even if the buddhists and hindus don't have any teachings about the underworld, they are not exempted from belief in deities. So, tell me, where are the widespread and growing reports from all over the globe of hypnosis about seeing those deities they worship?

To be frank, ur ranting up there was making no sense at all.
As a point of correction, I never said those who were seeing "visions" were hypnotised.
I just mentioned the hazy science of Hypnosis to illustrate to you how powerful the human mind can be. That is why i asked you to study facts about it so that you can get a clue. But instead of educating yourself on that subject matter, u decided that you'll be served better ranting.

Apart from the Abrahamic religions, which other religion teaches about a hell where humans will be burning eternally in an unending fire of pain and torment?

And i hope you know the religions referred to as Abrahamic religions before you start ranting tangentially again.
