and this:

Jisie ike!

thanks

It's an encouragement, like 'well done' and 'try your best' together, it doesn't have a direct English translation, maybe 'keep striving', and the usual answer to this is 'oh!' A direct translation would be roughly 'keep strong'.

Yes they are. In Aro "v" and "h" are used instead of "f".
For example:
Ofe and Ovo,
Ovia Ofia and ohia,
ivuru ifuru and ihuru,
Ihe and ife

Can anybody please tell me what Keni keneme means?

I am sorry if the spelling is wrong. I only know it from hearing.

I am trying to learn Igbo, but for some reason my husband is only teaching me very few things.

Imela!

What accent are you learning (if you know), because what you wrote could be correct in one accent.

Cushion/Padding/Pad (noun) -- anyone?

Don't you mean, lect? Accents are quite different from lects. . . accents would be the tones patterns (I would think. . ).

Hi Ezeagu,

I am sorry, I don't know what dialect it is. What I know is that my boyfriend is from Enugu state. Does this help?

Thanks and Best,

Yeah, in some dialects Kini is used instead of Gini, So 'kini ki neme' can be correct for 'what are you doing'.
