If you don't mind take time out write out the numbers that are sending the messages, they are third party. Once you've written it out, call MTN customer care and tell them to remove you from the list by calling out the numbers. I was able to give them at least 10 codes, now my ba3 lasts 3 days. Thank me l8r.

I think their executives dont receive such messages cos if they do they'd have found a solution

MTN of course. Just as i was about to type dis msg, i received another one. I remember my service year, at the end of every month when we must had exhausted our allawi. Each time one of us gets alert we rushed to glance our phone to check if allawi has been credited. Lo and behold it was another mtn disgusting msg.

There was a time my phone was switched off for a day and an half due to bad battery, on purchasing a new one, i immediately plugged my phone and switched it on.:...
Almost immediately, messages started trooping in, and i was already getting afraid lest my phone vibrate and sing to death lol.

Messages like: Send 0260077 to 4100 to prophecy new things to your callers with callertunez... How can i prophecy when i'm not even a pastor, i quickly delete am before i do mistake, prophecy for person say him go receive gift of car and at the end e no Receive.

Please dont bother calling their customer careline, after you wait for like 10mins(not surprising since perhaps 50 thousand other disturbed peeps are calling for same reason) if they enventually pick up, and you're done complaining.
Please have it at the back of your mind that:

1. Nothing will be done... Yes absolutely nothing will be done, the care agent would even look for ways to put the blame on you

2. I've noticed Calling them to complain of constant promo messages, automatically adds your phone number to their number one customers to receive it.... Yeah more like a TO DO LIST.....
I once complained, the agent assured me that everything is fine now, it didnt get up to 2mins later, i received another pointless message. I just shaked my head....


They are very crafty, and the only reason i'm still on this network is because its quite popular among my peers.

hehehehehehe. I got those messages today but wetin man go do? & I nor fit abandon d line

Bros na MTN. I receive like 15 useless sms from them in a day.

I also use Glo the only time I received massages from them is to inform me that my data will soon expire.

MTN be like: Dear customer, are you BROKE? Text BROKE ASS NIGGA to 33456 to get tips on how to bounce back @ N50 per week.

The most annoying one is that Flash message... The only option you see is OK! If you mistakenly press OK, you're Gone!!!

ADVICE - Once you see the message,just remove your battery, re-insert and switch on your phone!

Hello all. there is a simple way to end all this sms alert that annoys you when you tryin na think straight.
If u are an andriod user simply download phone 2 location app it blocks boths calls and sms. After installing the app click on it to launch its also an sms holder as well. I believe this helps. All I see now is sms blocked

With an iphone, u just set the numbers on " don't disturb" mode but yet, it does not solve the problem as the messages will keep coming in just that u won't be notified.
