the feasts and ceremonies of the old testament where just types and shadows of that which is to come. they were never meant to be the real deal but that when the original is come we could put the old away and live in the new. QED

It is not the first fraud oh, it is just one of the several concepts being smuggled into christianity by crooks posing as pators with sole aim of reaping off the children of God. Tithes is another popular scam of these charlatans.

well tithes is agreeable it can be argued; there are scriptures supporting it's existence b4 the law. u know it's a faith thing. Abraham gave to Melchizedec and all that. because it was b4 the law that's y u cannot be caused for nothing obeying i; .but 1st fruit i've reasoned it out there's no way for this one
Re: First Fruit, First Fraud!! by KunleOshob(m): 4:04pm On Apr 21, 2009
Abraham's tithe was a one off non obligatory tithe which he did of his own free will and not under any commandment, he also did not tithe from his income but from war booty which didn't belong to him in the first instance. Using this to justify compulsory weekly/monthly cash tithing preached in our churches simply amounts to manipulating scripture to justify a predetermined objective. If a chrisitan should decide to tithe it should be made to understand he is NOt under any obligation to tithe and it is purely a free will issue as far as christianity is concerned.

there were several other Jewish feasts beside the feast of first fruit, why single out only one and leave the rest out. Be that as it may if you're going to practice the feast then IT HAS TO BE PERFORMED EXACTLY AS IT WAS STIPULATED

Tithing was also a feast in biblical times but most people don't know cause the church leadership as twisted the meaning and mis-represented it to the congregation as money/ income, the passage below says it all. Even the popular malachi often used to deceive christians talks of food/meat and NOt money / income the church leadership as twisted it to mean.

Deuteronomy 14:22-29:

The Giving of Tithes
22 “You must set aside a tithe of your crops—one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year. 23 Bring this tithe to the designated place of worship—the place the Lord your God chooses for his name to be honored—and eat it there in his presence. This applies to your tithes of grain, new wine, olive oil, and the firstborn males of your flocks and herds. Doing this will teach you always to fear the Lord your God.

24 “Now when the Lord your God blesses you with a good harvest, the place of worship he chooses for his name to be honored might be too far for you to bring the tithe. 25 If so, you may sell the tithe portion of your crops and herds, put the money in a pouch, and go to the place the Lord your God has chosen. 26 When you arrive, you may use the money to buy any kind of food you want—cattle, sheep, goats, wine, or other alcoholic drink. Then feast there in the presence of the Lord your God and celebrate with your household. 27 And do not neglect the Levites in your town, for they will receive no allotment of land among you.

28 “At the end of every third year, bring the entire tithe of that year’s harvest and store it in the nearest town. 29 Give it to the Levites, who will receive no allotment of land among you, as well as to the foreigners living among you, the orphans, and the widows in your towns, so they can eat and be satisfied. Then the Lord your God will bless you in all your work.

What can i say cheesy it is my christian duty to tell the truth and set my brethen free from the shackles of false doctrine instituitionalized by so-called men of god to de-fraud them and keep them in perpetual bondage under the false belief they are obeying God's instruction.

Did Melchizedec demanded for it?
Did Melchizedec quote any scripture so that he can get it?
Did Abraham gave it out of his own possession or out of the spoil of the war?
Did Abraham continued to do this or was he giving it monthly, yearly?
Did we read of Abraham becoming richer because of that act?

WITHOUT MUCH ADO, THE ANSWER TO ALL IS "NO!"

When it comes to Abraham as regarding giving to Melchizedec, the lesson we should take out is how he said HE WASN'T GOING TO TAKE FROM THE SPOIL OF THE WAR. HE WASN'T LOOKING FOR CHEAP RICHES OR MAN-MADE RICHES. HE WAS NOT COVETOUS OF OTHER PEOPLE'S POSSESSION. HE WASN'T GOING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ANYBODY OR SITUATION LIKE THAT .

FOOD FOR THOUGHT TO ALL PASTORS!

For first fruit, well I agree with the Poster, It is The First Fraud, THE GREATEST OF ALL MANIPULATION AS TOUCHING MONEY MATTER IN CHURCH.

Jesus was a Carpenter, skilled in carpentry and FULLY employed in HIS FATHER's (JEHOVAH) Work

Peter was a Fisherman, skilled fisherman, employed as a disciple of Jesus

John the son of Zebedee was a Fisherman, ^^^^^^^

James the son of Zebedee was a Fisherman, ^^^^^^^

Andrew was also a Fisherman, ^^^^^^^

Matthew was a Tax Collector,

Paul(Saul) was a Tent Maker, He still made tents to help fund his journeys and work

The word Christianity(christ-like) was coined from the name CHRIST. I have read and digested the bible, (scratching my head in a confused manner), honestly didn't see where Jesus or Matthew, or, or, or,  Paul paid tithes.

I only recollect Jesus telling us to love our neighbors as our selves(The Ultimate Law) and practice the Last Supper in HIS remembrance.
