Hahahahaha No sir we can't see the entire table... we are only seeing part of the table visible to us ..

You are not seeing the back of the table, under the table, behind the legs or the other side of it...

Check again to see you cannot see the entire table but only part of it..

I am taking it very gently to make this discussion enjoyable to both you and everyone reading..

How desperate are u now?

Didn't u say I must prove the cup is on the table?

I can see all that, so far for that desperate attempt grin

Honestly brother you need to gather your wits you don't even know what exactly your argument is based on..

I only replied you when you said you can see the entire table and i have shown you that contrary to that you cannot see the entire table but just part of (Just like we can't see the whole universe as you proposed)

instead of simply accepting you cannot see the entire table just like i have taught you now, you jumped into another thing all together..

So please stop the childish show of clutching on unrelated premises. . . i am trying hard to maintain this as a friendly discussion and not an argument because an arguement only breeds resentment and hostility... and if i pull it out as an argument ......

Anyway do you now agree with me you can't see the entire table contrary to what you said that you can?

Between i am still waiting for you to prove there is no Cup on that table. . .looks like you are avoiding that...? wink

instead of disproving what I said he play with words, this ain't English class, so go to school then go play with words.

What's funny is how u can twist words and meaning.
I was replying to the title of the forum, get it yet?

Contradiction - the act of saying something that is opposite or very different in meaning to something else. : a difference or disagreement between two things which means that both cannot be true.

So where the contradiction?

A contradiction is to believe that nothing existed before the world yet "nothing" made everything exist.

Assumption -a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof.

If u saying I'm making assumptions, I guess u making them to by claiming there is no God, yet with no proof.

Atheist; There is no God.
Theists; The world didnt just bang itself into existence. God created it.
Atheist; Thats silly, you gotta prove that. show me God.
Theists; A good physical evidence is creation.
Atheist; Whats "creation" and why must there be a creator. Well, I dont know how existence came to be but why not just be honest like me and admit "You dont know".
Theist; But i know, my reference is the Bible.
Atheist; Oh great,a man-made book
Theist; What then do you refer to.
Atheist; My knowledge and "More reasonable man-made books"
Theist; Ok, but why do you care so much? I mean, there is no God right.
Atheist; Simple, cos i dont believe and i need you and the world in general to think freely and "not believe" with me. We've been brainwashed for long. We need to stop believing.

This pretty sums up the back and forths between unbelievers and believers in the religious section everyday.

As far as i'm concerned, the honest atheists constitute about 20% of their totality. Dont ever think that you're contending with the natural when argueing with atheists. It takes prolonged agony and determination to reject accountability and be an atheist. Same goes for an unrepentant assasin. You cant show sense to a seared conscience 1tim4:2, You can only hope they find grace [/b]

Lol... this was just what i wanted to use to and cub the back to back argument this evening..

Beauty of nature suggest there must be an invisible creator behind it.

i showed him how beauty of desert sand dune, the artistic depiction does not mean an invisible designer did but simply action of wind on dust...

Just like the flatness of the table i posted suggest there must be an invisible Cup on top of it..

hahahahahaha But am still waiting for someone to prove to me that there is no red cup on my table..

I have absolute faith there is, i believe there is and i feel it in my heart. . . In fact i have had a personal experience of my red cup..

the flatness of the table surface suggest that it must have a cup on it .. (Cups have flat bases so it fits perfectly that the cup must be on top of that table..)

So hahn can you prove to me that there is no Cup on that table? angry

No that you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there, you need to have faith and believe jt..

Don't you see? the flatness of the table suggest there must be a cup on top of it...
Is it not very obvious

You need to have faith and believe so you can have a personal experience of the cup by faith..

as a matter of fact i know there is a cup on that table and my reference is here in a book where it is written that there is..

You still have not proven there is no Cup there...

my book says there is... undecided

which one is get out of the jail....lmao.. You already know that i don't know.... I wouldn't blow my own trumpet here let the people reading this determine which is a weak argument.. wink

Actually i was not there so i will need an empirical study and scrutiny in order to determine what actually happened and this exactly what science is doing now... studying the available datas in order to reach a truthful approximation or do you expect me to assume up an answer?

So your answer remains I don't know sir ...

Actually if u go thru the posts u will see who are the clowns.

This thread is supposed to be about God but
Look how many tables u see at this thread.
Look how desperate they are to get me to participate in analyzing their illustrations.

Look how I exposed how bad their argument is by comparing a table to the universe.
Look how 1 of them tried to go 2 another illustration of a dead body cuz he realized the table was a bad argument.

Look how their leader tried to convince them that a bad argument was actually a good argument.
Look how he tries to convince them that the table can represent the universe.

wow . . . that's a very long story. cheesy

i decided to try out my challenge to one guy . . . can't remember his moniker. i said i would pray and search for God for a week.
so i did it. at the beginning, I prepared to have a very open mind. i read the bible, prayed, but discovered that nothing happened. i prayed for dreams, for some literal interpretation. i went crazy. at a point, i even got to the point where i actually said, God, "I'm going to throw this screwdriver into the soil. if it stays in, then you exist."
of course, it didn't. so i tried it five more times, then it did. i was so overjoyed. so i tried it again. and it didn't work. so i abandoned the idea.

At that point, there was a problem in our church. my mom . . . who by the way is a pastors wife and a choir master. cry cry was championing feminism in our church. because in our churches, only males are allowed to take any position in the church. it's even worse to the extent that men are the leaders of Good women society in every branch. so, she was like . . . it's totally wrong, they should change it, and then she started telling me that the leaders of the church are misogynist because they are polygamous. our church is almost sixty years now. the founder had three wives. the current general overseer has two wives. his assistant has . . . four or five . . . ?
she actually told me that these people made rules to benefit them. they scrapped the office of deacon. because the bible does not permit polygamous people to be deacons. And they taught us that the reason is that the office of deacon was a specific one. for the apostles only. and i just taught. what if this sort of rubbish is the origin of all religion? men in power, inventing stupid rules for their subordinates and passing it off as truth for their own benefit?

i still clutched to religion. but then, i started noticing many flaws, the omnipotent paradox, which no one has ever been able to prove wrong, the fact that God actually has NO evidence to support his own existence. and most shocking, the fact that once upon a time, 70% of the entire world once wholly believed Zeus existed. that is so mind-blowing. and i think a lot. the more i thought, the more i realized i could have been tricked . . . by other people who have been tricked themselves, the blind leading the blind.

the final blow, was surprisingly somewhat insignificant to most people.

god destroying Sodom and Gomorrah because they were gay and sinful. as well as killing a man's only wife of many years because she looked back. something most of these hypocritical Christians would do anyway, and then totally watching as his two daughters drugged him and had sex with him. i didn't know my mouth was wide open until some saliva dropped on the screen of the phone with which i was reading the bible.

that went against all of my morals, everything i had ever learned, they never told me what lot's daughters did. they only told me about how the greed of his wife killed her. and i never bothered to even read the place. i just assumed. cry
so i decided that such a God was not worth my worship. i would rather burn in hell than live with such a god for eternity. angry

but then i realized that the book was written by Moses who was not there. he made it all up.
so i went from hating God to finding him hilarious. since then, i just kept laughing at the outrageous claims the bible made. it's not real, damn it. some talented writers who had not yet discovered that just admitting you wrote a lot of bullcrap can get you a lot of money and can even get your book made into movies made it all up.

and then, the argument i posed in my diary where i came open, sealed the deal.
so . . . here i am. grin grin

shush! you shouldn't be worrying about the number of tables. but the number of cups on the respective tables. johnydon22 is actually. there is no red cup on that table. the cup is actually green. i know it's green. because it IS green.

there is no leader or follower here. no one can spill crap without anyone countering him.

Hahahahaha long and funny story this is...

the fact that God actually has NO evidence to support his own existence.

Hahahaha this always the funniest that a being that supposedly exists needs human to tell other humans and threaten them to believe it exists...

Only a man made God will need man to make itself known to man.. Am i right? wink

and most shocking, the fact that once upon a time, 70% of the entire world once wholly believed Zeus existed. that is so mind-blowing.
Lol..

Hellenistic religion is still practised today. . . Many people still worship Zeus as the one true God till this day..

Please don't blow your mind again on hearing this, i wouldn't like to answer to the police .. wink

and i think a lot. the more i thought, the more i realized i could have been tricked . . . by other people who have been tricked themselves, the blind leading the blind.

I have always affirmed that religion is a canoe paddled by ignorance of the masses..

Take away knowledge from the masses and you will have a control over them. . But a little curiosity drives one to take back this knowledge and you will get a mind free from such control..

this is what religions hate most, a free mind, a curious and knowledgeable mind that is why they discourage questions, doubts, curiosity but encourage blind faith..

the final blow, was surprisingly somewhat insignificant to most people.
god destroying Sodom and Gomorrah because they were gay and sinful. as well as killing a man's only wife of many years because she looked back. something most of these hypocritical Christians would do anyway, and then totally watching as his two daughters drugged him and had sex with him. i didn't know my mouth was wide open until some saliva dropped on the screen of the phone with which i was reading the bible.

lmao... you never really read your bible cheesy

remember yahweh was looking for at least 10 good people and he will spare the city but they must be thousands of innocent children in that city..

are these innocent numbers not good enough to spare the city since it was looking for 10 good people and these innocent children surely must have been in their hundreds of thousands.

I am sure this one never came to mindwink

that went against all of my morals, everything i had ever learned, they never told me what lot's daughters did. they only told me about how the greed of his wife killed her. and i never bothered to even read the place. i just assumed. cry
so i decided that such a God was not worth my worship. i would rather burn in hell than live with such a god for eternity. angry
Lmao...you deh vex oo... my girl friend is worth worshipping more so though smiley

but then i realized that the book was written by Moses who was not there. he made it all up.

Hahahaha actually modern scholarly consensus agrees Moses didn't write the torah, it was just a judaic theological tradition to hold him as the writer..

scholarly consensus establishes the torah was a collection of works of different timelines and authors . . . 4 different style of writing were observed from it leading them to conclude it was a work of 4 different authors at different timelines of hundreds of years.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torah check here ....

so i went from hating God to finding him hilarious.
this is called misotheism.. someone who believes a God exists but hates it..

since then, i just kept laughing at the outrageous claims the bible made. it's not real, damn it. some talented writers who had not yet discovered that just admitting you wrote a lot of bullcrap can get you a lot of money and can even get your book made into movies made it all up.
