If you are going to mention 290X crossfire, then you are implying it takes 2 or more AMD Radeon 290X cards to perform as well as 1 high-end nvidia card, which is a very apples to oranges comparison. Compare a crossfire setup to an SLI setup, and the SLI setup wins at the cost of the nvidia higher price premium. Which is well worth it since nvidia builds far more powerful GPUs.

Why even bring Quadro into this? It's meant for engineering...... Not gaming. The GeForce and Quadro series are used for far different things. Quadro is woeful when used to play high-end games but it's great when used for 3D engineering.

As aforementioned, there is no confusion only correcting the errors you stated. I have two computers one for gaming the other for engineering (though they are laptops). The engineering laptop has Quadro graphics, and the gaming laptop has an nvidia GeForce SLI configuration. They are used for different things. The Quadro laptop doesn't handle games well at all, whereas the gaming laptop doesn't handle intense 3D modeling as well as the Quadro. They are tuned differently, however the gaming laptop has the GPUs clocked at a higher rate, and far more cuda cores per GPU. In addition, the gaming laptop GPUs are built on Maxwell architecture.

Macbook Air doesn't have a dedicated nvidia or AMD GPU. It uses an integrated Intel GPU.

AMD are always dedicated will Intel is not and besides not the newly released windows some times does Run smoothly on Intel. So I choose AMD but the best of among is nVidia. None of the above can beat her.

Bro, please I have this Dell laptop once I power it on it will go blank after few seconds and won't come up until I press the power button down and press it on again and after which it won't go off till am through using it. It's definitely not behaving that way because it's an AMD. It's not passing POST upon initial boot up. POST is an acronym for power on self-test, it's where the BIOS (basic input and output system of the computer) runs a bunch of diagnostics on your disks, RAM, keyboard, etc etc.

Unless I or someone else sees the laptop, I can't make any assumptions on what it is. It could be faulty memory (RAM), or it could be a dying motherboard. I won't know for sure unless I or someone else runs diagnostics on it.

Lenovo has a lot of quality machines which are cheap. You get so much for what you pay. Hp machines are crap and as for macbook no comment.

well I don't do a lot on my PC expect browse ,play games and type some word documents.. I'm not a programmer ...my HP does just the job for me ...unless the battery sucks

the r9 390 is actually a better perfomer than d 970 but the titan z is still the best graphic card for now. the 980 and ti is actually comparable to the r9 fury graphics cards

Currently the best card is the nVidia GTX 1080 based on Pascal architecture followed by the GTX 1070.

This is not a downplay of AMD cards, it's simply the truth...unless you can show me an AMD CPU that outperforms an Intel Core i7 6970K or even outperforms an Intel Core i7 6770K at the same price point. Intel has been ahead of AMD in CPUs for a long time. The same goes for nVidia being ahead of AMD for GPUs.

nah intel builds power efficient cpu compared to amd cuz a 6700k has a tdp of 91w compared to a fx 8350 with over 100w and even pricewise the 6700k costs about 300$ while the fx 8350 is just over 100$ and their clock speeds are in d same range

Hi, please compare AMDs latest architecture to Intel's latest. It seems you are comparing Intels Latest to AMDs 3 year old architecture.
