Sammiejo you're trying o and motivating me. Unfortunately I am away from home and at the mercy of the people I'm staying with. You should see the beans given to me this morning shocked dripping with palm oil shocked It was either that or rice and palm oil stew grin I shall survive this week. Meanwhile keep it up but wait o,don't you get hungry?

@ Ejadamen, babe I get hungry oh. Since today I have been eating all sorts. Including a pack of coconut chips. I eat alot especially on weekends when I am indoors most of the time. Its good to know I am an encourager. You de encourage me too.

L - 2 wraps of moinmoin that had half boiled egg in each
D - plan to eat 1 pack of indomie only

Hey Guys, i see you have modified your meal plans! Great!

@Sammiejo - It is definitely an improvement. Note, if you get hungry, just eat more fruits. Make sure NOT to eat too much high calorie fruits like bananas, avocado pears, etc. Melon, Papaya, Apples, Oranges are OK. Melon and Papaya are especially filling.

@Eladamen - You can have the Indomie with Chicken/Fish or a boiled egg. Hows the skipping going?

Lets do this for a month and see if it makes a difference. Best of luck guys!

@Romeo,I eagerly await the day you'll spell my name right tongue Well it's good to know I'm improving. I haven't exercised for a week,mainly cos I have been away from home but I'll resume next week.I've been thinking about the skipping and I've decided to add walking to it.

Yesterday 10/06/2010
B - 2 slices of bread and a bowl of quaker oats
L - 2 servings rice with veggies and fish
D - fruit salad(apple,watermelon & pineapple)
Water - approx 2L

Exercise - nil

Today 11/06/2010
B - a small cup if tea and once slice of bread
L - 1 120g indomie
D - will be 2 servings rice and stew with fish
Water - 1.5L so far

1 packet of plantain chips + 2 servings of rice.
1 cup of beans + 2 pieces of boiled unripe plantain.

Exercise; 15 mins Hannah Waterman cardio, 40 mins biking.

I HAVE TO IMPROVE NEXT WEEK. THANKFULLY THE MEDICATION IS FINISHED AND I HOPE THE SIDE EFFECTS WILL END THIS WEEK OH.

grin grin grin It happens but I hope you're feeling better now. At least you were exercising with all your eating. I did not exercise but I have received amazed compliments that I have trimmed down but I'm still afraid to check my weight. Don't want to be disappointed cos have heavy bones. At least I can now fit into clothes I couldn't fit into before.

I am new to this thread but i will keep it short and simple, i am 5'7,30 yr old mother of two kids[delivered by c-s]i started my weight loss journey last year[oct] @ 98 kg with waist circumference of 46",as at today am 81kg,38" waist,i still have about 8-10 kg to drop so i can take my waist measurement below 35 which is my main motivation and goal,and not only do i feel good as it is right now,i feel a sense of accomplishment.
i never used any of those weight loss craps,dont have a gym membership ,neither do i starve myself,all i do is log 300 minutes of cardio[walking,jogging,skipping and dancing]weekly,do squats and lunges three x weekly for 15-20 minutes,reduced intake of salt,cut processed food[bread,indomie,pringles,chips,meat pie e.t.c] to the barest minimum,i dont diet so i dont have taboos,but i make sure my meal are wholesome.i know the bad foods and i try to limit them, i just eat sensibly and stop when i am no longer hungry.

Welcome modath, I'm right where you were last oct grin but I hope to go down. It's encouraging what you wrote. I agree starving doesn't make sense and I hate the word 'diet' but we have to learn to eat right. Stopping bread is hard so I switched to whole wheat bread. Writing out what I eat here helps keep me accountable. Anyway I shall get there.

Pls check again,i never said i cut it out completely,i just said i reduced it to the level that i will only eat processed food when i absolutely will have nightmares if i dont eat it,lets break down the wheat bread,==it has flour,fat and preservatives.indomie==small is 420 cals,large pack is 630 cal,for that amount of cal i can do a fist sized garri with vegetable stew and chicken breast.
Babe,we will get there,its not easy but it is do-able

I have received amazed compliments that I have trimmed down but I'm still afraid to check my weight. Don't want to be disappointed cos have heavy bones. At least I can now fit into clothes I couldn't fit into before.
Well, something seems to be working, so keep it up.
Don't be afraid to check your weight. Sometimes, a small weight loss in the right place, can cause a drastic difference in how you appear. Losing water also has this effect, especially on the face, which makes you look slimmer overall. Whatever happens, just keep up the good work!

Hello,everyone hope you are still hanging in there,i am now mentoring a neighbour who is currently 110kg,she was 112 three weeks ago.i am far from being a personal trainer but my weight loss is a motivation for her and she has latched on to me,we now work out together.
This morning, i weighed 80.7kg.

@ Romeo,finally you got my name right! Now about the skipping I now understand that if I skip till failure and do this repeatedly then my endurance would increase i.e. I would be able to skip more each time. Maketh sense.

Pls and pls, i'd really luv it if u can stop frying your eggs,stop custard and cornflakes and replace it with pap.
what is your current weight,height and waist and hip circumference.?
*I did my HIIT workout today,skipping 100 superfast and jogging on the spot for 3 min,its for 45 mins but it feels like 4500 mins cos i was almost collapsing at the very end.
Breakfast==moin-moin,fish and Agidi
mid morning=cucumber and carrot
LUNCH===== Amala okro and fish.
dinner.

Ejadamen,
Pap is unproccessed,it still has all its nutrient and its fibre content is still intact,cornflakes and custard on the other hand has added sugar,presevatives,colourants e.t.c,that is just my 2 kobo input.
waist 46" and bum 46" means you have an apple shape,so the kind of exercise you need to do is more of cardio and it will be advisable if you try and incorporate it into your daily activity all day long,so that you metabolism will be up all day.
Fruit==orange and pine-apple at a minimum,you are better off with watermelon,pawpaw,mango and cucumber.
food==your main meals should be vegatables and protein,pls switch your dairy to low fat,completely eliminate sugar in every form.

I am fine thanks. As cardio,I just recently started walking because I dislike jogging and running. I swim but it's too rainy and cold for that now. Also I thought orange was good as per low calorie. I already changed my dairy to low fat but I am yet to find a low fat yoghurt. If you know any let me know. Take care.

You definitely cannot jog,its going to kill your knees,but you do need to make your brisk walk quite challenging so that you can benefit from it,the minimum is 60 minutes everyday.
I have the tendency like you to store fat in my tummy,so i'd rather not take a lot of citrus fruit,and i hardly take dairy products[at the most 3 spoons of marvel a week]cos of the same reason.pls go to the following websites for tips and support.

I'm already on CALORIECOUNT and MYFITNESSPAL. Well I'll work on building my walking to 60minutes. I walk outside and the routes I've chosen(2) add up to 45minutes.

Exercise - Dancing 15mins,skipping 200,aerobics 20mins.

Anyone know a brand of low fat yogurt?
