Take up the offer in a company.
Apart from the hire and fire story;
1. I'm not sure 75k bank job is full-time and Bank contracts are often nightmares. It's a matter of monkey dey work baboon dey chop, plus the full-time colleagues often feel a right to rubbish you.
2. A company job gives you the opportunity to learn how a business runs. If you're patient, you'll be able to observe how organizations work and the knowledge will help you when you want to start your own multinational.
3. Working in a company usually afford you more time to plan your life and be with your family and even conveniently further your studies. In a bank, nobody gives a hoot about work-life balance. Well, in most banks (95%).
4. You're more likely to rise and get promotions faster in a company. Most bankers are stuck in the same level for years. Except they get opportunities to change from bank to bank.
If you ask me, the difference of 20k is not enough to go into banking in Naija. Money is not everything but even if it is 20k is not worth it.

The bank JOB IS obviously a contract staff job gotten through a recruiting firm, Ops run for your dear life, I'm sure HR is taking you as an archivist eg arranging files and d likes. it's not worth it, a waste of life time.

Sometimes working is not really about the pay is about finding joy in what makes you happy, fulfillment and what the future holds.

Organizations do not even consider bank contract staff experience as a real job experience.... So think twice email me if you need advice.

I hate startups... Its risky, Your salary might not be constant

In my opinion I would say u shouldn't accept any, a bigger job is coming so don't block it with any of the two offers.

Since this is your first job and you probably only have a Bachelors, I'd say pick the one that would afford you time to improve, get relevant certifications.

Startups also have a tendency to be out of business soon but if you believe in the startup, I'd say take it. In a startup, you'll have more responsibilities and won't be as regimented as in a bank.

Check if the bank offers to cover some part of certification exams, masters, etc.

Go for the banking job. Higher pay first. As a HR personnel, you shouldnt be scared of sack

I would assume the 75k job is Zenith bank, as they pay fresh graduates that amount before conversion....

Banking is very stressful, but would go a long way in boosting your career. Working in the HR department is a very big plus, as it would shape your career professionally. Asides the fact that both salaries are nothing to write home about especially in a state like Lagos, working in a nameless company and earning 55k when you have a fairer option would be a terrible idea... Welcome to the regimented life of banking
