Am doing a bsc in marine engineering and if you can cope with it. I think it's better you do marine engineering. Forget all the hype about electrical engineering. There are so much of them out there. Marine isn't common and has lots of prospects

You need to be good in maths and physics for every engineering course.

if your maths skill aren't above average, I think you should just forget the course cause by the time you start going into programming, naval architecture control and the rest. You would find it very difficult to cope if your maths background was bad. But don't feel bad , others have done it before and you too can do it.

Don't let anything scare you baby. Go for marine engineering if you are interested in it. it's one of the best engineering courses you can do in the world today and there's lots of prospects for you after school. just make sure you study really really hard cause it ain't easy.

job opportunities- Electrical
Handsome pay- Marine ( because their work is mostly done on shore)

on the average, Electrical is better

well I won't totally agree with u on physics...

though am not good in physics (like to be a guru in it)that's y am reading chemical engineering because of my love of chemistry which we apply the principles.

physics is not that rampant sha....

I'm just beginning my 300L so may be some1 more experienced than me can concur or correct me...

I did 2 electrical courses in my yr2...1 practical ( simple Kirchhoff's rule, etc but we used instruments)

but the other course was kinda tough.we learnt circuit theorems ( superposition, thevenin,)AC bridges, power factor,star-delta transformation, 3phase etc...

u will need to be good in ur maths and electricity in physics....

Also ,u need to be good in circuit diagrams, etc more

no much note to read only calculations...

but electrical engineering is good

but chemical engineering is my love...

any processor in the house

I hail.

thanks.

I take my leave....

I chose marine eng in jamb second choice and elec eng in first choice due to the fact that there is no federal university offering marine eng. I have a strong passion for marine eng but, am not good in calculation but very good in theoretical aspect of engineering. Can i make it? Pls do u know fupre's school fee?
