“The lazy ones are the most anxious, sorrowful and grief-stricken of the people.

Ibn al-Qayyim -Rahimahullaah- said:

‘Majority of the illnesses of the body and the heart in fact emerge from not having patience.

Muhammad ibn Sīrīn - may Allah have mercy on him - said:

“The people with the most sins are those that most mention the sins of the people.”

Hafsah bint Sīrīn رحمها الله the female scholar from the Tābi'īn stated:

"Fasting is a shield for the one who is fasting as long as he doesn't destroy the shield. And its destruction is (by way of the person) backbiting."

“Every slave has a beginning and an end. So, whoever's beginning is following of desires, his end will be disgrace, lowliness, deprivation, and affliction.”
