This is the problem I have with yorubas and Igbos. You take it for granted that everybody speaks your language or even worse you want to exclude others by not wanting them to understand what you are saying. If you have anything to say, say it in English.

This is called Nairaland, not Yorubaland, Igboland or Hausaland.

@Fhemmy

Igala are an ethnic group in Nigeria.

The home of the Igala people is situated east of the river Niger and Benue confluence and astride the Niger in Lokoja (commonly called Kogi East).
The area is approximately between latitude 6°30 and 8°40 north and longitude 6°30 and 7°40 east and covers an area of about 13,665 square kilometers (Oguagha P.A 1981).

The Igala population is estimated at two million, they are the major ethnic group in Kogi State but can also be found in Delta, Anambra and Edo States of Nigeria.

The Igalas are ruled by a king called the Attah.

'am bussy now in the office, I will post more at my convinient time!

It may interest other readers to know that Admiral Ogohi is a retired Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff with proven track records.
As you have rightly pointed out, Okura is approximately 30km away from Ankpa.

Ankpa is a town located in Kogi eastern region of Nigeria. Ankpa (Population over: 63 000 people) town is headquarters to one of the largest local government councils in Kogi state. Ankpa Local government is one of the oldest local govt in the Igala land. Created in 1979 alongside Dekina and Idah Area, The old Ankpa Local government have been divided into Three large local governments. These are Ankpa, Olamaboro and Omala Local Govts. Despite the Division however, the present Ankpa local Govt is still a very large local govt with towns like Inye, Eti aforgam-gam, Enjema,Ogede Ajiekpe, Ojoku etc.

"I miss ur lovely dishes" - Ujenwu 'we omemele 'le, an'umi eju. It is broken as follows

Ujenwu 'we omemele - Ur lovely dishes

An'umi eju - missing it.

igalas are indigenous to anambra local government in anambra state and are also descendants of eri or nri just like the northern igbos.

Where do the northern Igbos reside? I'm a bit confused.
I thought Igalas are the northern children of Eri and Igbos are the southern ones.
Re: Igala People: Identify Urself's by Abagworo(m): 9:05am On Apr 10, 2010
northern igbos are in present day anambra, enugu, ebonyi, imo and abia while southern igbos are in imo, abia, akwaibom, rivers and delta.the southern igbos might have migrated from the north but it is highly disputed as their oral traditions talk little about it.there is also the north-eastern igbos who have high mix of ibibio and other crossriver groups.
