Dear ladies, tomorrow is valentine's day, be ye reminded that it is not the United Nations' Day of losing virginity, it is not the Universal day of returning the profession of love with the indignity of sexual favours, it is not the Freedom day of perversion and violation, It is not African Union's day of sexual consolidation, It is not the World's love making day, neither is it boxing day. It is not a day for the exchange of your dignity with jollof rice or willingly granting sexual gratification for prepaid, formal sexual services. It is not a day to expect proposal to be a ring holder, the lordess of the ring or a celebrity professional key holder in the employ of career time wasters. It is not a day to legitimately accede to the illicit demand for sex from the one who claims to love you without marrying you or involuntarily yield to his sexual requisition on the flippant ground that he has 'tried' as though you are doing him a favour. Stop pitying every man- that is exactly how to be a slut. Don't let any man blackmail you into giving him sex in exchange for gift, you are a valuable woman, not a cheap prostitute. If he needs to pay for sex, direct him to the abyss of the "Peacemakers". No wed, no bed, no ring, no string- Valentine grass is not enough.

Don't expect what you cannot give, he is your boyfriend, not your sponsor. He is your fiance, not your financee. Love is a bipartite relationship, valentine gift is not gender-sensitive. Don't buy him boxers, singlets and handkerchiefs as though he is an Atilogwu dancer and expect a Ferrari in return. Love is not magic. Appreciate the intention, not the proportion. If you will feel entitled to a man's money or gift simply because its Valentine's day, how can you be legitimately angry that he wants your body as recompense? Love does not always have to be expensive or materialistic, look at a man's heart, not his wallet, assess his prospect, don't just access his pocket, contribute to his glorious future, don't just fleece his present. His presence should be more valuable to you than his present, his gumption more than his gifts. Don't live all your life trying to get unrealistic fantasies from wrong men. Celebrating a decade of dating anniversary is conclusive proof of spiritual redundancy and emotional stagnancy. Wives help men to save, not spend, men can tell a wife from an emotional knife. Don't put your man under undue emotional pressure because of one day of exhibitionist display of unreal affection. His love is not his purse, your affection should not be directly proportional to the quality of cash in his pocket, your emotion should not be inversely proportional to the absence of material possession or valentine's gift for a day in a whole year. Don't make your man break the bank to simply keep up appearance to please you, its St. Valentine's day, not your birthday.

Love is not sex, kindly note the difference. If you have to ruin your dignity and disobey God to please a man before he can appreciate you, his love is doubtable. If a man specially requires a day to express his love to the one he loves or claims to love, he is a study in amorous heresy. If you have to offer your body as living sacrifice to prove your love to a man, you need to crosscheck the genuineness of such love. True love needs no proof, it trusts absolutely and takes the first step of faith even when it can't see the whole staircase. Love cares, love respects, love considers, love gives, love is you.
