Many women from Yeghe Community on Wednesday, May 25, staged a protest over the harrassment and arrest of their paramount ruler, HRH Barinadaa Gbaranee on Monday by Nigerian soldiers from the 2 Brigade Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, stationed in Bori who arrested him after vandalizing his house.


Yeghe Community, in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State,is said to be a major town where army intensified its operations since soldiers stormed the community in February in search of popular ex-agitator, Solomon Ndigbara, whom the military has since declared wanted.His arrest was confirmed by Assistant Director Army Public Relations, 2 Brigade Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, Capt. Eli Lazarus, who said army “invited” the king for questioning concerning security issues in his community which the army is currently investigating.

I am sure there's another reason why he was arrested ,

This is not right at all, atleast respect should be given to tradition and he should first be invited to their camp and not just go in and arrest him. i cant see the army arresting the emir disrespectfully, why then is this happening in a state that voted for Jonathan in past election.
