Is there any Avengers when Buhari campaign to be president and promise d clean up?.
Is ogoni clean up the only promise Buhari made as a campaign promise? What about other essential ones? Apart from these one, can you boast of any fulfilled campaign promise by Buhari's administration? So why do you want to pretend as if you don't know why the move is embarked upon?

Informative write up

To solve a problem - you need to know how it came to be*, every problem in that area- is as a result of the greed of people living in that area- and till today they are still doing it - NDA, trying to get their pound from federal govt., lipsrsealed since OIC would pay this compensation into the account of the federal govt

This woman is the only active minister in the dullard's government. I hope she soars higher..

Meanwhile, The Ogoni cleanup is nothing but a political manoeuvre aimed at appeasing one of the long suffering tribes of the Niger Delta. I'm not fooled by this romanticization of the event.

Your comment just proved you can never satisfy Nigerians.
Why didn't good luck clean it up?
The people are suffering all you think of is that it is political.
You don't need to be fooled cos urge already a fool.
Don't quote me cos if you do, the thunder that will fire you is on its own at from Hong Kong

Yes, you're correct. It needs continuity. Mind you, Ogoni is a focal point here due to it's peculiarity in the struggle(i believe you know what I'm talking about) but it'll be a continuous process throughout the N/Delta. The N/East also needs attention. Nigeria sef!

D Niger deltans shud watch out for dos who want to b "BROTHER BY FORCE BY FORCE" . U shud rise against dos whom sense of reasoning has bn enveloped by bigotry, hopelessness, shame, pain n nothingness.
Dey prefer seeing u guys drink poisonous water, returns from ur farms with no farm produce. d joy in dia heart is immeasurable seeing ur fishermen dragging back fishing nets with dead fishes dat isn't fit for human consumption. Right dia in dia numbers, at d comfort of enjoying all wht u can't, dey beat d drum of discouragement n wait to c reason to engage in dance of victory-ur downfall. even if dis administration starts with a kobo, still, it is a + n not a -.
U guys may not be comfortable with dis present administration but I encourage u to join in dis cleansing exercise physically, spiritually n even financially if d nid b. U may choose not to vote him or his party come 2019, it's abt ur choice n want but for now, b encouraged to bring life back to Ogoni.

It's just a small demonstration. The process will take about 30yrs to complete throughout the Niger-Delta. Ogoni is just a starting/focal point.

Ogoni land is not one state.. It is within a state. As long as the money budgeted for the clean up is sufficient, what is your problem?

You want them to budget more than what is required?

Dont disturb yourself explaining to thia kids on NL they talk and it always obvious they know nothing but just want to coment, ask him about the cleanup he know nothing but choose to criticise and correct the government. God help us.

Is this person living in the moon?

How do you derive ur conclusions??

Has any president ever, in Nigeria done so?

Do you know that North-east is a geopolitical Zone with 6 states and a local government in Borno is larger than Ogoni Land?

Clean up of Ogani land is one of the best things that can happen to Nigeria!!!!!!!!!

Very true. Infact all parties have contributed to the mess. The OICs not doing their work properly, the locals making money from it and the Government who should stand firm on the OICs also gets money from it and neglect the area. All in all the the Niger Delta people should know that militancy won't solve the problem, they are just compounding their woes.

Noise maker (richidinho), what would you do if government didn't start this effort? Stop portraying your idiocy online, learn to appreciate little and more will probably come your way.

What do you gain from being bitter and wailing?

One of the first projects announced by the government was the clean up of Ogoni Land in June 2015. They have stuck to the task and one year after, it has begun.

Why did other governments not take advantage of such political capital? Bros, give credit to whom it is due and criticize if the occasion calls for it.

They don't reason like that at all- and their argument to them are superior*- its our land etc, look at all the spills, they have major(ly) been on land, those on the high seas are managed*- my solution Is simple- if they drill oil, a certain percentage set out for cleaning- if they like they should bomb everywhere- then they don't clean the environment simple- and hunger should finish them- its called my stick an carrot approach*
