[center]PROFESSIONAL ADVICE VS RELIGIOUS BELIEF[/center]

As a medical practitioner who should give his patient the best medical care/ professional advice and also having a staunch belief in the catholic principles and ideologies on contraception and abortion, what position should I take when couples visit me in regard to this issues.

IMHO, the Catholic church's position on the use of contraceptives is NOT reasonable (no insult intended). The motives may be holy - to discourage premarital sex, that is (which is hardly effective anyway) - but whoever came up with this 'law' certainly failed to put into consideration the dilemma this would put couples in, couples who'd find this a convenient method to do some family planning.

My advice? Any religion/religious principle that asks you to suspend common sense, run fast and never look back.
