So you knew all along that nobody pays for a contract once and you were making unnecessary pointless arguments that "It is GEJ's project"?.... irrespective of the fraction of the entire project sum provided by a regime, to you lads, it just has to be GEJ's personal property; even projects completed in 10 years after GEJ will still be termed GEJ's project.

Total project sum was estimated to be N167bn, GEJ provided N25bn in 2014 and promised to provide another N25bn in 2015 to continue the job. In 2015, the 25bn promised was never paid, it wasnt even budgeted at all as the entire Works ministry budget was less than N18bn. All funds in 2015 were transfered to the failed re-election bid. Without receiving pay, RCC and JB abandoned the site, construction workers lost their jobs and our ignoramuses jumped into conclusion claiming PMB has stalled the project.

2016, Fashola begs the contractors to return to site and promised they would receive their pay once budget is passed. Need I remind you that N50bn was set aside for that project in 2016 budget and as soon as the budget was approved, the funds were instantly released with the contractors scrambling back to site.

But according to GEJ children, it is GEJ's project. If saying everything is GEJ's is what gives your heart peace, irrespective of whether he provided a dime or not, then who am I to take away your peace?... I would also join you in saying it is GEJ's project.

Was it Fashola that contracted that road? The road construction had been going on even when Fashola was not a minister, so how can you credit him with the current work going on?
The contractors suspended work because of lack of funds because FG was owing them and now they have been begged to resume work and they will be paid later. And you say Fashola (sic) is working? Is that how you think?

Lol.. such childish reasoning... initiated project indeed. Firstly, nobody here on this thread ever mentioned that Fashola is the originator of the project; government is a continuum and Fashola is simply doing his job by progressing a very important project which was abandoned. Talking about project initiation, since when has project initiation become an achievement in Nigeria?... Even OBJ initiated the Lagos-Ibadan road project (even though it was riddled with court disputes and abandoned), all the power projects commissioned by GEJ were initiated by OBJ, the Abuja to Kaduna high speed railway job was initiated by OBJ, reforms in power sector were initiated by OBJ and continued by Yaradua before GEJ came in. I can keep going on and on but I am sure you have never in your life acknowledged OBJ for being the 'initiator' of these projects.

A road project cost N167bn and GEJ released N25bn (15%). While I would give GEJ praise for releasing N25bn for the job, it would be meaningless for any sentimentally confused person to chastise me for praising PMB who has already released twice that amount (N50bn (30%)) in his first year. Assuming the project is completed to 100% before 2019, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone shouting it is GEJ's project even though a different administration did 85% of the job.

When I see constant power supply, then I will know Fashola is working. Ain't got time to keep sitting in darkness. This power supply issue is why I am strongly considering going back to my base. Will see how it goes.

In addition, if we must be childish about it by ascribing praise and glory to a particular person or administration, may it be known that the last admin only released 15% (N25bn) of the funds required for the entire project and this administration has already released twice that amount of funds in 2016 alone.

I think dat op is high on expired tramadol soaked in regal dry gin for giving credit to fashola on lagos-ibadan expressway. I passed that road twice a week infact I just returned from Lagos less than 2hrs today. GEJ awarded the contract & the work was going smoothly until bubu destabilized everything which makes work stop. Though RCC is back to work for the construction but they now use equipment & man power lesser than what we see during GEJ days
