Find a list of sites that are related to urs.. Sites that you are in the same niche with and try as much as possible to post a comments with ur site url or just ur site names.
like if a site is talking about school software... You can drop a comment on their comments box and say... "school software helps me alot during my WAEC days to prepare ahead and I got it from www.mysite.com free of charge and it's up to date.
With this comment any one that visits that site will 95% come to urs as well.

also on your site post a solution to their problem so that you don't mislead them and have a bounce back,bounce back does more harm to ur site because Google monitor this very well.. A site that engage their viewers with more time have higher Ranking
in that particular topic/niche

Like if you Ur site talk more of educational services, comment on site that are into educational niche like myschool.com.ng. What does this do? Each viewers will like to click or copy ur url and visit your site to get more of what they are looking for... By doing so Google will rate your blog high.
So have a list of blog on ur niche and do this technique like 3 months and see the results on Google search engine.
Secondly don't post random post like celebrity, phones, politics.. NO no no
Find a niche and concentrate on it and let Google know that you are in this niche
Submit your website through Google webmasters tool.

Read posts on SeoMoz (now Moz), QuickSprout, Backlinko and maybe AuthorityHacker.
