if this solution is to be solved. before writing jamb. all schools within the region, should be automatically the choices of institutions, then after writing jamb , the computer with program will categorise by jamb performance, then per department they will add/subtract student in such a way that one in 2.5 students will compete for admission.

During the first chapter of the University of Ilorin 32nd convocation ceremonies - the Press briefing - the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali, stated that only a meagre percentage of the 103,238 applicants would ultimately secure admission into the school. He said that while one of the public institutions got as low as 148 applicants, the university keeps receiving a high admission pressure every year.

Though, the institution remains committed to improving its services, expanding its facilities and furthering its frontier through innovative programmes. On the other hand, the VC disclosed that only 67 of 6,069 first degree graduands bagged First-class Honors.

While 1,505 made it to Second-class Upper Division and 3,200 Second-class Lower Division. Then, 1,124 Third-class students alongside 70 Pass. Also, the VC expressed his concern on the factthat no Nigerian university was ranked in the first 100 of the global university ranking.

This is nothng more than corruption. Why can't these our universities nd tertiary institutions just tell prospective candidates the number of intakes they are able to admit and save pple all these heart breaks. kwarruption in the highest order.
