Well OP has stated his opinion and really you have to understand that OP is saying that you should consider all options. I believe OP never meant to belittle anyone. I would advise like OP that people witho have been selected should understand what exactly it entails. Also someone mentioned the fact that you can't get federal employment while working as a volunteer.
I understand that 30k might seem alot but truth is this, it's nothing, even if you are saving and you are astute and a miser, 30k won't do much. Still doesn't stop anyone from going ahead. Just consider your options.

Someone said he considered his options and refused some job opportunities. I know it takes a lot of guts but he actually did what is best for him. If you are taking that step, ensure you are doing what is best for you your future and don't get stuck living a life you will hate. Good luck to everyone as we each pursue our separate dreams

Iwo naa gbenu e soun.. Most people can't just read and see the positives the writer is trying to bring out. The writer is not saying that eveyone should ditch n-power, what he is saying is that you consider all your options well before committing to it..Think about how far you wanna go in life and if n-power is the right step to take, if it is, no one is stopping you and if not, then reconsider.

Common congratulations the op couldn't mutter to those selected and u say I should learn from him. Am sorry my brother, I have nothing to learn from him, can only apologise to him for calling him some not too good names.
May your pride not bring about your downfall. A wise man knows that every situation is an avenue to learn, be it in line with their thought pattern or not.

If what I have been reading here is true, then this is somehow serious. That one cannot get a Federal appointment while still a volunteer? Abeg, sheybi the FG should at least allow us write some letter of resignation from the programme if it happens that along the way, one secures a better job...ehn?
Okay, can we at least pursue jobs in private firms sha?

Bros, I did not single out PMB's govt. I don't know why you guys go on the attack whenever govt is mentioned as if they care about you.

Plz don't compare this with NYSC, they are very different. I just sounded a note of caution and it was my own opinion after some past observations. I just hope I will be wrong.

Where did I attack you? Did I curse or abuse you? Must different opinions from yours be seen as an attack?

You said buhari doesn't care about us the youths, but Gej cared right? Look at where it landed us.. . In just almost 2yrs the same buhari that you said doesn't care about the youths provided a working scheme which will get a Youth 30k per month instead of seating at home.

Even your hero GEJ spent 6yrs no head no tail.
All he did was to increase minimum wage to 18000naira.

And you said I should not compare it with nysc I guess you haven't served because if you are, you would be more enlightened.

You would understand what it's called Scheme.

Nysc is a scheme.
Npower Is also a scheme.

They are not jobs per say.

When will you guys ever understand that not everyone on this forum is part of your zombie Vs wailer fight? which kind of stupid assumption is this?

Where in my statement did I ever mention GEJ or claim I'm a GEJ supporter? So anyone who says anything that does not support PMB automatically becomes a GEJ Supporter? which kind of school did you people attend?

Bros, I don't have your time but next time don't quote me talking about Buhari Vs GEJ nonsense. If you are not new on Nairaland by now you should be able identify your rivals and take the argument to them since that is all you people ever know.

I'm only interested in discussing with people who are non partisan not politicians ass lickers like you. Plz beware.
