Charlton Heston's autobiography "In the Arena". The book is quite engaging as the reader meets with one of the greatest actors of all time whose awesome role as Moses in "The Ten Commandments" made him famous beyond Hollywood.

I literally have been reading this book for months. It was such a slog to get through the beginning that I'm honestly amazed that I finished it shocked shocked grin . But my girl friend convinced me that the ending was satisfying, which it was, so I continued the slog. I did stay up past my bedtime to find out what happened in the end. But of all the books this one was definitely the least compelling and the most complicated. grin grin smiley

Couldn't agree more. I actually skipped some parts. IMO it's not as good as the previous two books.
Back to the topic, I'm currently reading Separation of Power - Vince Flynn (much more enjoyable!)

A legacy of Liberation by Mark Gevisser.

it is the biography of my African hero, Thabo Mbeki.
A very powerful and illuminating political tale of one of the continent's powerful thinkers.

Now reading Sleeping Murder - Christie Agatha. I find her writing interesting, but her diction seems a little stiff. undecided

LOL nah, it was just the last book that I did that. Plus I didn't really skip parts. I just read those parts really quickly. I have a knack of detecting parts of a book that aren't really relevant to the story and just glance through them especially if the book is becoming tedious. I did it with a lot of Tom Clancy novels too.
And back to the topic, I'm currently reading The Third Option - Vince Flynn. I'm a really voracious reader aren't I? tongue

Really? grin well if you said that was the last book you read i have no comment since i am not there with you . but the most surprising thing i have read from you is skipping some page's in the book when reading and i was like in my mind you won't understand it all in that case . You said you skipped parts and now you said you didn't really skipped parts so which one do you want me to take? grin - Well , i believe you've read and understood the book but my word is that in case try and always read book from page to page- if one page is boring take a break and have some rest to continue next time . wink
