Am Interested In Islam. by Nobody: 9:28pm On Dec 17, 2016
Greetings to you all, am not a Muslim but i have seen how Muslims interact with each other, the love they have for each other really surprise me, that i keep on wondering. I have made some Muslim friends but they can't seem to educate me probably because am not from the north or because i don't speak Arabic or Hausa but i still don't know.

Please i will love it if someone can just tell me about Islam.

Islam basically means submission to the will of God Almighty. By implication, a Muslim is somebody who submits to the will of God. A Muslim lives his/her life in line with the dictates and commandments of God.

Islam has five pillars namely:
1. Iman - Belief in God and the messengership of Prophet Muhammad (Saw).

2. Solat- Five daily prayers

3. Zakat- Alms giving to the poor.

4. Ramadan - Fasting during Ramadan

5. Hajj- Holy Pilgrimage

As a Muslim, you strive to do as much as you can, whatever God enjoins you to do. Whatever God says you should not do, you don't do it at all, things like fornication, consuming alcohol, adultery, stealing, gambling, murder, etc.

Summarily, as Muslims, we live our lives to earn God's favour and mercy both in this world and in the hereafter.

We love you brother.

Islam is an arabic word which means peace.

Islam can be define as the total submission and total surrender to the will of one true God.

A Muslim is a person who submit his will to God via the prophet or messenger of that time through the scripture.

A Muslim during the time of Abraham peace be upon him is a person who submit his will to God via prophet Abraham.

A Muslim during the time of Moses is a person who submit his will to God via prophet Moses peace be upon him (through Moses Scripture)

A Muslim during the time of Jesus is a person who submit his will to God via Prophet Jesus peace be upon him (Through Jesus Scripture).

This is only introduction. Point out where you're not very cleared. Or ask more questions.

Islam is the only non Christian religion on the face of the earth that make it an article of faith to believe in Prophet Jesus peace be upon him. No Muslim is Muslim if he did not believe in Jesus, moses, Abraham, Jonah, Adam etc peace be upon them all are prophets of God.

Thank you i love how you explained it, but i noticed that Muslims teach their children all about islam when they are still very young, so what are they chances that i might grow in islam, plus am not from the north, i don't speak hausa nor arabic. I live in the south where religious decrimination is high.

Brother, it is never too late to begin. Learning is a lifelong journey in Islam and there is never a point where once can claim to be at the pinnacle. Many of us who were born into Muslim homes only started striving to gain the proper knowledge recently.
All you just need to have is the sincerity of heart and ask for Allah to guide to rightly. Little by little, you'll start to make progress.
May Allah bless you, guide you and strengthen your faith.

A Muslim is a person who submit his will to God.

Jesus is a Muslim

I can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just, because I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will. John 5:30

He submit his will to God being a Muslim. All the prophet mentions in old and new testament are Muslims.

1- Contrary to what many believe, the word Islam is never used in the Quran as a title for the religion belonging only in the Quran nor a religion that is exclusive to the prophet Muhammad! The word Islam simply means Submission to God. It is necessary thus to stop thinking of Islam as the religion exclusive to the Quran, and in stead recognise Islam as a spiritual state of submitting to God alone.

2- All the prophets of God submitted to Almighty God and called their people to submit to the One and only God. The only true religion as far as God is concerned (after discarding the labels) is Submission to God (Islam).

Islam is the only religion prescribed by God to all prophets

Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. And whoever disbelieves in the verses of Allah , then indeed, Allah is swift in [taking] account.

So if they argue with you, say, "I have submitted myself to Allah [in Islam], and [so have] those who follow me." And say to those who were given the Scripture and [to] the unlearned, "Have you submitted yourselves?" And if they submit [in Islam], they are rightly guided; but if they turn away - then upon you is only the [duty of] notification. And Allah is Seeing of [His] servants. [Qur'an 3:19-20]

All Prophets Submit Their Will To God [Muslims]

He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others with Allah is that to which you invite them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him]. [Qur'an 42:12]

Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah ]. And he was not of the polytheists.

Indeed, the most worthy of Abraham among the people are those who followed him [in submission to Allah ] and this prophet, and those who believe [in his message]. And Allah is the ally of the believers. [Qur'an 3:67-68]

The first Muslim on earth is Adam, Abraham was also a Muslim, Moses, Jesus peace be upon them all. They are all prophets of God submitting to his will.

Who is Allah [God Almighty]

Now the question is who is the true God? Let's look out both Qur'an and Bible to look for this God.

God in Qur'an

Say, "He is Allah , [who is] One, Allah the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent." (Quran Chapter 112)

He is] Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has made for you from yourselves, mates, and among the cattle, mates; He multiplies you thereby. There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing. [Qur'an 42:11]

God in the Bible

(i) "I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour." [The Bible, Isaiah 43:11]

(ii) "I am Lord, and there is none else, there is no God besides me." [The Bible, Isaiah 45:5]

Thou shalt have none other gods before me."

"Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that in the earth beneath, or that is in the water beneath the earth."

"Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them; for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God." [The Bible, Deuteronomy 5:7-9]

I know you still have more unanswered questions. You can ask more. Questions like do Muslims believe in Bible? Your next question may be What is now the difference between Islam and Christianity if I may read your mine.

Ameen and I wish you the same.

I have understood that, as far as you OBEY GOD, DO WHAT HE SAYS, your a Muslim. My question now is just as you have predicted, if both Christians and the Muslims obey God (Allah) why is there so much difference between the two?

A muslim is a person who submit his will to God through the teachings of the messenger he sent via the scripture. That is why, those Muslims in the time of Jesus peace be upon him that submit their will to only one God and believing Jesus as the messenger of God will go to paradise.

Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad] - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.

The difference is Muslim believes in Jesus peace be upon him as a prophet and messenger of God while christian believes he is begotten son of God or he is God. To which Muslims don't agree.

What is the meaning of Son of God

The biblical language meaning of son means a good person. So if that is the case, anyone who is righteous can be son of God. Look at the following verses bellow:

"Israel is my son, even my firstborn" (Exodus 4:22).
"Ye are the children of God" (Deuteronomy 14:1).
"for I (God) am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my first born" (Jeremiah 31:9).
"which (Adam) was the Son of God" (Luke 3:38).
"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" (Romans 8:14).

Who is begotten Son

Christians said NO NO NO! Jesus is not a normal son as used in the above verses. Jesus is the [b] begotten
son of God. And they quote this verse

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:6

What is the meaning of begotten? You can check normal dictionary or even Biblical dictionary on google. If I say this child is my begotten son what do I mean?

Meaning of the word Begotten

When asked the meaning of the word ‘begotten’ the Christian will rarely be able to explain. Begetting is an animal act belonging to the animal function of sex. ‘Begotten’ means "sired".

The word ‘begotten’ has been thrown out of the Bible:

The word ‘begotten’ mentioned in the Gospel of John, Chap 3 vs. 16 has been thrown out from the Revised Standard Version of the Bible as an interpolation, as a fabrication. The Revised Standard Version has been revised by 32 Christian Scholars of the highest eminence, backed by 50 different co-operating denominations and these Scholars have removed this blasphemous word without any ceremony as an interpolation, concoction, fabrication, and adulteration. Yet the majority of Christians are unaware of this important fact.

For The Sake Of Argument Lets Agree Jesus is The Only Begotten Son Of God

"The Lord hath said unto me, (David) Thou art my son: this day have I begotten thee" (Psalms 2:7).

It says Jesus peace be upon him is the only begotten son of God but in the above verse, David was also begotten son of God.

Is Jesus God

A study of the Christian scriptures reveals that Jesus (pbuh) never claimed divinity. In fact there is not a single unequivocal statement in the entire Bible where Jesus (pbuh) himself says, "I am God" or where he says, "worship me".

Jesus peace be upon him is the messenger that God sent.

i)"… and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me." [The Bible, John 14:24

(ii)"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou has sent." [The Bible, John 17:3]

Consider the following incident mentioned in the Bible:

"And behold, one came and said unto him, ‘Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?’

And he said unto him, ‘Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.’ "
[The Bible, Mathew 19:16-17]

Jesus (pbuh) did not say that to have the eternal life of paradise, man should believe in him as Almighty God or worship him as God, or believe that Jesus (pbuh) would die for his sins. On the contrary he said that the path to salvation was through keeping the commandments. It is indeed striking to note the difference between the words of Jesus Christ (pbuh) and the Christian dogma of salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus (pbuh).

Jesus is a Man But God is Not a Man

Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth,
a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know."
[The Bible, Acts 2:22]

Is Jesus Spirit ? Is God Spirit? Can a spirit have flesh? Can God be a man?

Jesus:

Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit has not flesh and bones, as you see me have. [Luke 24:39]

God is spirit

God is a Spirit:
and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. [John 4:34]

For I am God,
and not man’ (Hosea 11:9)

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man... [Numbers 23:19]

Jesus is a Man while God is a spirit

Spirit have no flesh while Jesus have flesh and bones.

God is not the son of a man while Jesus is the son of a woman (Mary may Allah be pleased with her).

Secondly, you said that to my own knowledge you mean that Islam is the only legitimate religion, and that others misinterpreted the scripture that was given to them PLEASE CORRECT ME IF AM WRONG.

You are very right. But look this for more details.

God is the Author of All the Books

Muslims believe in the revealed books of Allah. This includes the Quran (the final revelation to Mankind, Allah’s love letter to humanity) and the earlier books of revelation given by Allah to his various messengers over time. While all of Allah’s messengers and Prophets received divine revelation some Prophets were given an actual book or oral type of revelation. Those messengers who were given these books were referred to as the messengers of Allah. The Quran notes five such books of revelation: The Book given to Prophet Abraham [1], the Book given to Prophet Moses (The Torah or Law) the book given to King David (The Psalms) and the Gospel given to Prophet Jesus and finally the book given to Prophet Muhammad (The Quran). This can be found in the Quran in several places:

Or do they envy mankind for what Allah hath given them of his bounty? but We had already given the people of Abraham the Book and Wisdom, and conferred upon them a great kingdom. (Quran 4:54)

….and to David We gave the Psalms (Quran 4:163)

And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah. (Quran 5:46)

Bible and Other Scriptures Were Corrupted

The Quran says that the current Torah, Psalms and Gospel (the New Testament) have been badly corrupted. Numerous passages of the Quran refer to man’s distortion and alterations of the previous books of revelations from Allah. These passages in the Quran note that the received books by the People of the Book, The Jews and the Christians, do not conform to the original revelations that were given to Moses, David and Jesus. The following verses from the Quran are among the more direct in addressing this distortion of the prior books of Allah.

Can ye (o ye men of Faith) entertain the hope that they will believe in you?- Seeing that a party of them heard the Word of Allah, and perverted it knowingly after they understood it… Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is from Allah," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby. (Quran 2:75,79)
[b]

There is among them a section who distort the Book with their tongues:
(As they read) you would think it is a part of the Book, but it is no part of the Book; and they say, "That is from Allah," but it is not from Allah: It is they who tell a lie against Allah, and (well) they know it! (Quran 3:78)

And remember Allah took a covenant from the People of the Book, to make it known and clear to mankind, and not to hide it; but they threw it away behind their backs, and purchased with it some miserable gain! And vile was the bargain they made! (Quran 3:187)

No just estimate of Allah do they make when they say: "Nothing doth Allah send down to man (by way of revelation)" Say: "Who then sent down the Book which Moses brought?- a light and guidance to man: But ye make it into (separate) sheets for show, while ye conceal much (of its contents): therein were ye taught that which ye knew not- neither ye nor your fathers." Say: "Allah (sent it down)": Then leave them to plunge in vain discourse and trifling. (Quran 6:91) [/b]

Thirdly, you mean that both the Christians and the Muslims believe in the same God, just that they all call it different names because according to your post the Qur'an and Bible both agrees on the definition of God.

Yes the language may differs. But the same author of Qur'an is the author of the Bible (The true form of Bible). The creator of Jesus is the same creator of Muhammad peace be upon them all.

The lastly, does Muslims believe in the Bible? And why don't Christians believe in the Qur'an?

Muslim believes in the true form of Bible and all other scriptures are from God. No Muslim is Muslim if did not believe in this. (The previous verses explain the concept of other Scriptures)

Christian don't believe in Qur'an because if they do so, they have to believe Jesus is a prophet of God and not God. Secondly they will have to believe in all messengers of God including prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.

Thank you, Am sorry if i misinterpreted/twisted what you say please forgive me and educate me, am ready to learn.

Over look my grammatical errors: It's difficult to type and edit via phone.

You're free to criticize. You're always welcome. We argue with Christians that even insult here on Nairaland talkles of matured discussions. Criticize. Point out where you don't agree or you think this should not be so.

Helpful Question: Do Bible speak about prophet Muhammad peace be upon him? Why do Christians don't believe in him? Bible has been altered with different versions but why is Qur'an the same as it was before? If Qur'an says Jesus is not God, what's his difference with other prophet since he has no father.
Re: Am Interested In Islam. by Nobody: 9:01pm On Dec 19, 2016
Once again you have done well by explaining, thank you.
The difference is Muslim believes in Jesus peace be upon him as a prophet and messenger of God while christian believes he is begotten son of God or he is God. To which Muslims don't agree.

Even i too don't agree, i believe as centuries went by, the Bible passed through so many hands and thus each writer had to explain each word according to his own understanding and language but why wasn't the Qur'an altered, or was it altered but it wasn't noticed?

You're free to criticize

As i said earlier am here to acquire knowledge, to. Learn not to force my religion on others or to prove my religion/idea is supreme.

Christian don't believe in Qur'an because if they do so, they have to believe Jesus is a prophet of God and not God. Secondly they will have to believe in all messengers of God including prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.

Let me just add that i have seen some Christian that believes in the Qur'an, believe that Jesus is just like Muhammad, that the are both prophets,

You always seem to predict my mind, my questions are just as you have predicted.

Do Bible speak about prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, why do Christians don't believe in him?

If Qur'an says Jesus is not God, what's his difference with other prophet since he has no father.

I don't understand this, but Jesus do a father, that's Joseph the carpenter.

Thank you

I noticed that whenever the prophet Mohammed is quoted, their os usually "SAW" behind why is this so?

What is the first thing you will advise to learn regarding Islam,?

All Scriptures before Qur'an were meant to be followed for a particular period of time, so for this reason God did not preserve it Example Jesus was sent only to the sheeps of Israel.

But He answered and said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Matthew 15:24

But Quran is the final revelation and is meant for the entire world NOT just or Arabs or Saudis.

And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.

With the completion of the Quran, Islam becomes perfect and complete in such a way no corruption will be allowed, no addition neither subtraction can be made from it. The Quran author(Allah) made it in such a way it accommodate all manner of people from now to day of Resurrection.

... This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. [Quran 5:3]

Qur’an copies are extraordinarily identical

If we do consider the numerous – thousand copies
in the world- copies of Qur’an, we will notice that
they are identical except some letters that do not
change the meaning of the verse, but add other
meanings. This is known as ‘’Qur’an variants’’ or
Qur’an reading manners. The proof is that scientists
and especially doubtful persons such as Orientalists
haven’t found any Qur’an copy that opposes the
current Qur’an.

This is confirmed by the noble verse: ‘

We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption). (Quran-Hijr - 9)

Allah has promised to protect the Qur’an.

This a concrete proof that it is impossible to find a book like Qur’an. Allah the Almighty says:’’

This And if ye are in doubt as to what We have revealed from time to time to Our servant, then produce a Sura likenthereunto; and call your witnesses or helpers (If there are any) besides God, if your (doubts) are true. But if ye cannot- and of a surety ye cannot-then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones,- which is prepared for those who reject Faith.’’ (Al-Baqara –23-24).

Hence, researchers follow a very important rule to
prove the distortion through contradictions and
differences, a rule that has been set 14 centuries
before by Qur’an. Here Allah the Almighty says
about His Book:

‘’ And if it had been from (anywhere) other than the Providence of Allah, indeed they would have found in it many difference (s).’’ (An-Nisa –Women-:82)

So, the divine book must be with no mistake, no contradiction, but the distorted one is full of contradictions, which is the case of Torah nowadays

Allah’s Challenge in the Quran to produce work similar to it

#1. Why not produced a book like Quran?

“Say: ‘If all mankind and the jinn would come together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce its like even though they exerted all and their strength in aiding one another.’” (Quran 17:88)

#2. Next, Allah made the challenge ostensibly easier by asking those who denied its divine origin to imitate even ten chapters of the Quran:

Or do they say that he has invented it? Say (to them), ‘Bring ten invented chapters like it, and call (for help) on whomever you can besides God, if you are truthful.” (Quran 11:13).

#3. This final challenge was to produce even a single chapter to match what is in the Quran, whose shortest chapter, al-Kawthar, consists of only three verses:

" And if you all are in doubt about what I have revealed to My servant, bring a single chapter like it, and call your witnesses besides God if you are truthful.” (Quran 2:23)

Let me just add that i have seen some Christian that believes in the Qur'an, believe that Jesus is just like Muhammad, that the are both prophets,

Do they believe Jesus is God? If no they are Muslims because they submit their will to one and only 1 true God.

You always seem to predict my mind, my questions are just as you have predicted.

Do Bible speak about prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, why do Christians don't believe in him?

The Quran quote "..." a biblical verse which is not exactly found in todays Bible about the coming of prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.

And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic." [Quran 62:6]

Now Let's Look At the Bible

Just a quick note, the Arabic word "Muhammad" is an expression which means "The honorable one" or "The glorified one" or "The admirable" or "Praiseworthy".

Prophet Muhammad was the first in the Middle East to be named "Muhammad". Below, you will see how Jesus in today's Gospel of John had called this human Prophet which he predicted his comming "The honorable one". Jesus in the Greek Bible used the Greek word "Periklytos" which means the admirable or glorified one. He called that predicted human prophet "Periklytos". This word corresponds exactly to the Arabic word "Muhammad" which also means the "admired one" or "glorified one. " In other words, "Periklytos" is "Muhammad" in Greek.

John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever"

#Muhammad peace be upon him is the last messenger

John 15:26 "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me"

#Yes he has testify Jesus Pbum is a messenger of God.

John 14:26 "But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, (?) whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

#Yes he has continue to preach submission to the will of God.

John 16:7-14 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

# The criteria is Jesus peace be upon him has to leave before the Comforter will come.

I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when HE , the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, [that] shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come. HE SHALL GLORIFY ME: for HE shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you."

The Holy Ghost Cannot Be The Comforter

In the above verses we read "if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

" The comforter can not be the Holy Ghost because the Holy Ghost (according to the Bible) was "with" them already (and even quite active) long before the coming of Jesus (peace be upon him) himself and then throughout his ministry. Read for example.

1 Samuel 10:10 "And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them."

1 Samuel 11:6 "And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his anger was kindled greatly."

"For he (John the Baptist) shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb." (Luke 1:15)

"And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee." (Luke 1:35)

"And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost" (Luke 1:41)

"And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying," (Luke 1:67)

"And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and
devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him." (Luke 2:25)

"And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost (Simeon), that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ." (Luke 2:26)

"And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him (Jesus), and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased." (Luke 3:22)

"Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost." (John 20:21-22)

Did they or did they not already receive the Holy Ghost? Was Jesus (peace be upon him) not still with them when they received the Holy Ghost? Was the Holy Ghost not with Simeon, Mary, Elisabeth and before the birth of Jesus (peace be upon him)? Was the Holy Ghost not with Moses (peace be upon him) when he parted the seas?

There are many more similar verses to be found in the Bible. In the above verses, we are told that if Jesus (peace be upon him) does not depart then the "parakletos" will not come. Thus, the "Holy Ghost" cannot be the one originally intended since it was already with them. The contradiction is quite obvious.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is mentioned by name in the Song of Solomon chapter 5 verse 16:

"Hikko Mamittakim we kullo Muhammadim Zehdoodeh wa Zehraee Bayna Jerusalem ."

"His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem."

In the Hebrew language im is added for respect. Similarely im is added after the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh or in Arabic SAW) to make it Muhammadim. In English translation they have even translated the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as "altogether lovely", but in the Old Testament in Hebrew, the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is yet present.

I don't understand this, but Jesus do a father, that's Joseph the carpenter.

Thank you

Jesus peace be upon him has no father. Joseph peace be upon him is not the biological father of Jesus but a foster. That is the reason he is called begotten son of God by some Christians.

Christians says since Jesus peace be upon him have no father he is not like Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. He must be superior. So he is God.

Muslim respond to them as: If Jesus is God because he has no human father then Adam peace be upon him who has neither father nor mother is a greater God. WHY DON'T CHRISTIANS WORSHIP ADAM AS GOD?

The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was. [Quran 3:59]

What is the first thing you will advise to learn regarding Islam,?

(SAW) = Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam

Which means peace be upon him.

It's a respect accorded to all prophets.

Your saying that "Islam is a non Christian religion on the face of the earth" but ur mention Christian characters like jesus and moses.

Are you saying that Christian are also Muslims.

Please make me understand.
Christians are deviants they are to worship only God but they don't they worship Jesus A.S. and call Jesus his son and call mother Mary God's wife.

The first thing you are adviced to learn is what we call "Tawheed" oneness of Allaah, what it means to hold Allaah as ONE, then believe in tawheed, then learn the things that can cause defect to this belief in tawheed.

because belief in tawheed is what actually makes you a Muslim, so you have to understand it perfectly.

salaam alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh, this is the best greeting in the whole wide world, because it is a prayer, it means, peace be upon you, Allaah's mercy and blessing...

Although, you have to attend a school and learn these things in order to discuss with experienced people on the topic, but for the mean time download these books and read;

http://kalamullah.com/Books/kitab_ut_tawheed.pdf

http://kalamullah.com/Books/Concise%20Commentary%20on%20the%20Book%20of%20Tawhid.pdf

the first is the book itself, the second is an explanation to the book, finish reading trmhe first before going the second.

Thanks for educating me on this, i really appreciate.

Most welcome.

Concerning Tawheed. Its an arabic word which means attributing Oneness to Allah with none like unto Him and describing Him as being One and Unique, with no partner or peer in His Essence and Attributes.

The Quran says:

“Say (O Muhammad): He is Allaah, (the) One.

The Bible Also said:

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: [Mark 12:29]

Let's Agree on similar things in all the Scriptures

“Say: O People of the Scripture! (Christians and Jews) Come to an agreement between us and you: that we shall worship none but Allah, and that we shall ascribe no partner unto Him, and that none of us shall take others for lords beside Allah. And if they turn away, then say: Bear witness that we are they who have surrendered (unto Him). [Quran 3:64]

As soon as you agree there is only one God, and all prophet from Adam - Jesus - Muhammad peace be upon them all are his messenger. That none of them or any other creator is god or begotten son of god.

Then there is no point waiting than accepting Islam [Submitting your will to God] without any further delay. You mustn't learn Islam Completely before accepting it. The practicing of Islam comes letter. You learn Islam more when you're a Muslim than a non Muslim.

May God guide you, me and all of us. Ameen.

By Allaah 'Tawheed' is the first thing to know, b4 anything else.

Tawheed is knowing that Allaah is One, and he does as He wishes, knowing that He alone is the creator of all the creations.

He has no spouse nor child.
